Publisher's Summary

With three days left to the year, Deep Creek Lake is hopping with holiday vacationers and wedding guests pouring into the Spencer Inn for Mac Faraday and Archie Monday's huge wedding ceremony which is being touted as the social event of the year.

But droopy flowers and guests who failed to RSVP are the least of Mac's and Archie's problems when a professional hit squad hits Spencer Manor to send the groom, Joshua Thornton, Archie's mother, and Gnarly running for their lives.

With time running out before the big day, Mac Faraday and Spencer's small police force have to sort through the clues to figure out not only who has been targeted for assassination, but also who is determined to stop everything...forever!

Much better than I anticipated

I typically don't enjoy or read books like this but the description intrigued me. I am very glad I decided to read it. The storyline was great and the narrator did a really good job- very believable and natural. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Worth your time

Any additional comments?

4.5 stars

This is my first Mac Faraday book but it definitely wont be my last, evidently I have been missing out. I really enjoyed this book. This is one of those books that I got irritated anytime I had to stop listening. I couldn't wait to get back to it. It is definitely worth your time and credit.

It's a very entertaining, well written, fast paced story with fantastic narration that is packed full of action, suspense and intrigue. What more could you ask for.

Great cast of well rounded and likable characters. The bits of humor throughout just add to the overall enjoyment of the story and brings out each characters personality. Even though it's part of a series, I had no problem following the story. I need to go back and listen to the rest of the series.

C.J. McAllister did a fantastic job with the narration. Great voice that just draws you right into the story and brings it to life. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Really good character voices. All of them male and female. He was the perfect narrator for this book. Very enjoyable

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily provided this review,
Thrilling Suspenseful Spy Mystery!

If you could sum up Three Days to Forever in three words, what would they be?

Action/Mystery/Romance

What did you like best about this story?

I loved this story! It was action packed and filled with intrigue. It flowed well and didn't leave any dangling story lines. I also loved the times when humor was woven into the scene. This book is well written and leaves you with wanting to experience more Mac Faraday mysteries.

Which scene was your favorite?

I really liked when Murphy and Jessica first meet. Murphy is very much an action hero and Jessica does a very good job of taking care of herself. It made for quite an explosive scene with many sparks flying.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was moved when Mac realizes a member of his family is in danger and has an emotional reaction. You realize how deeply he feels for his family and friends. The author does a great job of showing depth to the characters.

Right wing wet dream.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Right wing supporters and fox news subscribers, I guess. And readers who can isolate political leanings when reading books.

Has Three Days to Forever turned you off from other books in this genre?

This question is pretty useless. The answer is always going to be No; no matter how bad a book is. A single book can not turn me off from an entire genre.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The book had so many drawbacks that I didn't find any redeeming qualities, even if they were there. First, there are story loopholes surrounding Archie and her witness protection status. And then the story took a dive and became a right wing wet dream. A secret extra-judicial organization, not controlled by the corrupt govt, that eliminates terrorists to keep the homeland safe... ok, then.

The Best Yet

Not only a terrific Mac, with unexpected twists but totally unexpected, and IMHO, timely, accurate and eye opening political commentary. Totally fair in today's world. Thanks

Loved Gnarly

Would you listen to Three Days to Forever again? Why?

Three Days to Forever was just one of those books that had so much going on that I fell like I could listen to it a second time and pick up on things that I missed the first time though.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The audio book had one of those fast paced plots that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time as I tried to figure out who the true target was and how the book would end.

What about C.J. McAllister’s performance did you like?

C.J. McAllister did a spectacular job narrating this book; I particularly liked how he did the characters' voices.

Any additional comments?

Overall, I greatly enjoyed listening to Three Days to Forever: A Mac Faraday Mystery, Book 9 and I plan to work my way through the entire Mac Faraday Mystery series eventually.
