I love Rose and her friends. Denise writes this so well! The plot is great in this whole series! But as Rose works to protect her boyfriend she also breaks your heart! The performance is great! Now on to the next book.

All the drama, the secrets and the revelations

I love this series. Rose is a 24 year old woman living in a nosy closed minded small town. She experiences visions that she’s compelled to share with the person she has them of. Rose continues to stumble into crimes and be good hearted to a fault but she is no longer the naive, innocent woman from last year and the first book in the series. Her innocent Rose persona and her strong Lady in Black persona have started to merge and become the real Rose. This book picks up where the last book left off. Rose has been arrested for her mother’s murder with trumped up but damning evidence, Mason has been fired as the ADA, and Skeeter is in hiding. Rose is going to have to make hard choices and tell some hard truths in order to protect everyone in her life. The book was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline with sweet moments, exciting action, danger, family drama, painful pasts, mystery, plot twists, imperfect characters, missteps, and all the big feels. I am looking forward to reading what happens next in Rose’s life.

Shannon McManus did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

This book is amazing!! What a roller coaster! I am still trying to process everything that happened!!

I literally read this book nonstop! Every chance I had to read the next sentence, paragraph I would read whether I was at a stop light, dr office, etc.

This is the 8th installment/book of the Rose series and it is the best one yet!! I became a big fan of the Rose Gardner series from the very beginning. I'm usually not a fan of book series that have several books but this is one of my favorites! Each book has its own mystery and it's never the same, it keeps you on your toes guessing what may happen but then BAM you are so wrong!
I absolutely love how Denise Grover Swank makes you fall in love with the main characters and oh my stars she has a way of making each of those characters tug at your heart as well. The main character, Rose-she has grown so much and has matured a lot in this book. She's finally becomes one with lady in black. The lines have finally been blurred.

I have loved this series since the beginning. Being able to hear it anytime I want is such a treat! Narration is so great.

Action packed

This is one of my favorite Rose books! She takes the bull by the horns and takes no crap as Lady. As I listen to these books I am picking up on pieces I feel I missed or simply forgot when I read them.

Great series

I love this series. Haven’t enjoyed one in quite awhile. Can’t wait to read Roses new adventures in the next series. These books are funny, tense, it runs the gamit. Don’t miss this series.
