Poker players should enjoy this.

I'm a big fan of two of Jana DeLeon's series, Miss Fortune and Shaye Archer, and have read some of her other standalones. Unlucky is one of those and I'm sorry to say I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as the others. First of all, there was far too much poker talk and I'm not a card player so it was all over my head.

The other problem I had with it was the paranormal aspect. I'm just not a fan of that genre.

Overall, it was a decent summertime listen, just not up to her standard.

Loved the story. Enjoyed all of the author’s writing. She just can’t write fast enough.

Not up to my expectations

I’m was disappointed in the story as whole. The lead characters were bland not interesting

Funny and cute

This was entertaining start to finish. I laughed several times throughout. Highly recommend, and it didn’t matter that I don’t know how to play poker.

Pushed through it...

It was an easy listen, not too exciting. Characters were cute and well developed. The romance though was too overwhelming, not written well, and took away from the story not complimented it. To add to the slow story the narrators voice dragged it out even more. Think I will stick to the miss fortune series.
