Publisher's summary

Dan 'Spider' Shepherd was sipping his first coffee of the day as the sweat from his morning run slowly dried on his skin. Kept on standby in Cyprus, Shepherd and his patrol mates are getting fed up with the lack of action.

When they're offered the opportunity to spend some time in Nepal, they jump at the chance. Whilst there, they meet an SAS living legend, and are roped into a mission.

Short Story in the Spider Shepherd series

British author Stephen Leather has been writing military novels in his SAS (British Special Air Services) officer Spider Shepherd series for a long time. The Rope is a short story set in Nepal where Shepherd and his team are sent from their station in Cyprus to help some feared Gurkha soldiers who are part of the British Army. The Rope is an excellent story with excellent narration.

I am not a huge fan of author Stephen Leather, but he does a good job with this short story.
