Publisher's summary

Paris is burning - and only Private's Jack Morgan can put out the fire.

When Jack Morgan stops by Private's Paris office, he envisions a quick hello during an otherwise relaxing trip filled with fine food and sightseeing. But Jack is quickly pressed into duty after a call from his client, Sherman Wilkerson, asking Jack to track down his young granddaughter, who is on the run from a brutal drug dealer.

Before Jack can locate her, several members of France's cultural elite are found dead - murdered in stunning, symbolic fashion. The only link between the crimes is a mysterious graffiti tag. As religious and ethnic tensions simmer in the City of Lights, only Jack and his Private team can connect the dots before the smoldering powder keg explodes.

Confusing at times

I love the story but it can be difficult to follow. I had to start over a couple times; worth it though in the end. The French accent in the narrative was hard to understand.

Just another day at Private

I am a fan of the Private series. As usual the plot took a twist that made me rethink everything in the story. Personally I had some trouble keeping up with the characters but that is on me, not the authors. My opinion is that this book is worth your time and money. I will be watching for the next Private adventure.

Best Private Yet!

I have read all the books in the Private series and enjoyed them all. However, Private Paris is as good as the first book in the series. For starters it features Jack Morgan as the main character. I have missed Jack lately as he has only appeared as a minor character in many of the recent Private books. Also, I didn't figure out the motives of the terrorists and enjoyed the surprise. In addition, I loved that Jack met someone that captured his attention and didn't spend the book moping around regretting his relationship with Jessica didn't work out. That was a recurring theme that was getting annoying; so hopefully he has moved on.

Love Jack Morgan!

I have been reading the private series. So naturally I read this. Great book as I love Patterson and paetro stories. However this was a bit harder for me to follow the Parisian characters and the story line was a bit complicated. But I got it! On to the next one!

Classic Patterson!

I will admit that this book was a little difficult for me to get into it first. but suddenly I was hooked. I would arrive at my destination and sit in the car because I didn't want to stop listening!

A bit complicated

I also enjoy Jack Morgan's adventures. He was solo without much of his team in this one. I missed the rest of hem

Pretty good book

Great story, but something was off the through the entire book. I'm not sure what, maybe just that there were so many things going on?
Not what I expect from a Patterson project
I was hoping it would end soon (from about 1/2 way point) so I could move on to another book...yes, I finish a book even if it was bad!!
