Publisher's summary

From the world's number one best-selling author comes a thrilling new stand-alone novel where a detective duo of sisters finds themselves in the crosshairs of a dangerous and lawless group.

Attorney Rhonda Bird returns home after a long estrangement when she learns her father has died. There she makes two important discoveries: Her father stopped being an accountant and had opened up a private detective agency, and she has a teenage half sister named Baby. Baby brings in a client to the detective agency, a young man who claims he was abducted. During the course of the investigation, Rhonda and Baby become entangled in a dangerous case involving a group of overprivileged young adults who break laws for fun, their psychopath ringleader, and an ex-assassin victim who decides to hunt them down for revenge.

Awesome

I enjoyed this book! The characters are so likeable and the story keeps you engaged. I always like the writing team of Patterson and Fox , hoping for a second book.

The beginning of a new series?

What a great book! I’m so hoping this book is the first in a new series in the James Patterson library.

Annoying

I was so excited for this book to be released, because I loved the Harriet Blue series by Patterson & Fox so much, but this one definitely didn’t do it for me. For one thing, virtually everything Rhonda talks about has something to do with how fat she is. It went on and on and on. She’s 260 pounds, but the story acts like she’s 500, the way it drones on about her weight. The kids in the story are also annoying, and, frankly, deserve everything that happens to them in the story. Peter Giles narration of this is overly dramatic. I’ve heard him narrate in the past, and he sounded normal, so I don’t know what that was all about, but it definitely wasn’t pleasant to listen to. Although the beginning of this book is pretty good, the end drags on, and the storyline as a whole is relatively weak. I definitely wish I hadn’t wasted a credit on this one. Perhaps the text version is slightly better, but if this turns into a series, I wouldn’t read the next one.

This is bizzare, over the top extreme.Makes no sense.
Attributes very strange motives to the protagonists. It started promising and went downhill.

Two Sisters Detective Ageny

I listened to this through to the end thinking it would somehow get better. It did not. There was no story, no purpose.. just a lot of insane violence that continued to get worse and worse and there was literally no plot. I would not waste the money.

Tough start

The horrible kids; are a great case for birth control. I had to stop listening a couple of times.

AWFUL

I have feared for years that Patterson would rum out of decent material to write….and this is a sure indicator. I always allow for some degree ludicrous because just a little makes it fun but this is OVER THE TOP IDIOTIC. I am so disappointed.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed listening to this title. It was interesting and the characters were, both complicated, complex, and sometimes humorous
