Publisher's Summary

Alcoholic Private Investigator, Drew Schweitzer, is hired to aid the police in a Missing Persons case by the parents of a terminally ill little girl, Abby Deirdre, who disappeared from the hospital a month earlier. Unsure if the child is still alive, the Pi finds himself in a race against time to find her before her condition worsens or at least find the people who took her. With every new discovery, it seems that Abby's disappearance may be linked to something worse. Something sinister. Something evil. Something iniquitous.

Mystery turned Paranormal

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed listening to "Iniquitous." It grabbed me right away and kept me interested right until the end. The story involves the kidnapping of a sick child and one alcoholic PI's attempts to get her back. I can't say much of anything else about the plot without giving away spoilers! Craig Key does a great job with this tight mystery. For the most part, Lehman delivers good narration with the exception of the missing girl's father. He sounds like Kermit the Frog and that was very distracting - listening to Kermit talk about his missing daughter. Otherwise, I liked this read and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fun mystery!

Wowzers!

So I started and finished this today. It grabbed me from the very first chapter and was excellent, however fyi it is not a feel good hugs and puppies book. Still awesome though! My only nit pick is that the main character is called Drew, or the private investigator or the PI interchangeably throughout making it a little hard to track from sentence to sentence. The narrator has a pleasant voice but struggles with a male voice or two but does do well with the main guy. Overall really enjoyed and will check out more by this author! A good, entertaining, paranormal crime thriller

I thought this was a good paranormal crime story. Drew is an interesting lead character who you really feel for. The author does a good job of painting the picture of why he is an alcoholic and why he does what he does. The narrator did a good job as well of portraying him. All in all, this was a very entertaining audio book which is all I could really ask for.

The definition will reveal much

Iniquitous: grisly unfair; morally wrong. I had to look it up. I did t know what it meant. I find the title to be chillingly accurate. Be ready to read a story that isn't for those of weak will. Fans of the exorcist, possessions, murder mysteries, paranormal, the story of job. You will enjoy this chilling tale and all it Holds. Can't wait to read more by this author read by this narrator. A good crime novel!

I whipped right through this book. At first I thought it was going to be the same tired xcop who drinks and tries to save the girl...but I was wrong. This book has a great twist! The performance was well done and made me feel like I was in the xcops head. I really enjoyed this book. I was given a free copy of this book and have left this voluntary and unbiased review.

Wow !!

I don't know what to say but WOW! I even took a morning off to finish it! This is Definately the best book I've read (and listened to)this year!! It is a book that I would give top honors without a narrator but she REALLY made it come to life. Don't miss it.

Devil in the flesh

I'm not sure this book was titled correctly I think devil in the flesh is more accurate. I honestly had no clue where this story was going but the road less traveled was not expected. The PI did what the police couldn't do. Solve a mystery but Abby is still alive and children are still being kid napped. I love that the author left it open for a second book.
I received this free for an honest review from the author or narrator.

Good Suspenseful Thriller

This was the first book by this author I’ve listened to and really enjoyed it. I loved the characters of Drew and Frank. This story is about ex-cop turned PI who was hired to find a kidnapped child (Abby) then many twists and turns with sad ending. Recommend to anyone who enjoys good thriller with hint of paranormal.
