#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • Harvard professor of symbology Robert Langdon awakens in an Italian hospital, disoriented and with no recollection of the past thirty-six hours, including the origin of the macabre object hidden in his belongings.

“One hell of a good read.... As close as a book can come to a summertime cinematic blockbuster.” —
USA Today

“A diverting thriller.” —
Entertainment Weekly

With a relentless female assassin trailing them through Florence, he and his resourceful doctor, Sienna Brooks, are forced to flee.

Embarking on a harrowing journey, they must unravel a series of codes, which are the work of a brilliant scientist whose obsession with the end of the world is matched only by his passion for one of the most influential masterpieces ever written, Dante Alighieri's The Inferno.

Dan Brown has raised the bar yet again, combining classical Italian art, history, and literature with cutting-edge science in this captivating thriller.

Good Listen

This was not one of my favorite books to listen to, but was fairly enjoyable. Very predictable in that, just as a situation would seem hopeless - the professor would magically get enough information to go on to the next clue! Pretty much unbelievable. I did enjoy the ending, though!

Great book!

The book was great. Once it started to die down the action would start again. Perfect timing!

Don't Sweat The Formula

Would you try another book from Dan Brown and/or Paul Michael?

Dan Brown is very good at mixing art and science in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Florence- so yes, I would endure another book by Brown. Paul Michael's narration is excellent.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The moral relativism of the ending was difficult to swallow.

Which scene was your favorite?

Without a doubt, Brown hooks you with the perilous predicament of Robert Langdon in the first chapter.

Do you think Inferno needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. Brown's point was made effectively.

Any additional comments?

Unfortunately, I didn't let myself enjoy the experience until I suspended my bias that I was being carried along in another typically contorted Brownian plot that combines him with another uber-genius female in a deadline-induced race to save the world. Once I gave in to Dan Brown's formula, just as one would give into an Conan Doyle plot line, the book became very enjoyable and exciting. My advice to the reader is abandon all critical reasoning and surrender to Dan Brown.

excellent narration that takes you into a deepdive

I loved the narration of this book a lot. At first I felt like the intonation was too artificial. But as the story progressed, I realised that the narrator did a splendid job of delivery every emotion of every character very accurately.I could see their expressions as I heard the audio book. Kudoes to the Narrator.
Coming to the Book itself. Well, well, where can I start! Dan Brown has always done his best in putting down the true mayyers happening in real world in a very artistic and a gripping fashion. Kudos to his Inferno. I am eagerly waiting for a part 2 continuation of Inferno that which can at least throw some light onto the Gene Vector and its propagation or ways to nullify its effect

Nice Comeback

I was very disappointed with the previous book in this series so nearly passed on this one but decided to give the series another try. I'm glad I did because this book was a pleasant return to the type of Robert Langdon stories we saw in "Angels and Demons" and "The Da Vinci Code". Inferno, despite referencing the classic book, is not about the church at all this time which was refreshing. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was that I thought the whole notion of leaving cryptic clues behind was a little far fetched and the ending of the book seemed anticlimactic. Still it kept me coming back for more each time I needed to turn if off for a while and I enjoyed my time spent listening.

Nothing like the movie

Performance was good. Story was captivating, thrilling and at times I was holding my breath waiting for what would happen next. It is WAY better than the movie. Especially the ending.
