Suspenseful and short

D.K. Gaston is a new author to me, while I have listened to Machelle Williams before. Both are talented. I was pulled into this book from the very beginning and really enjoyed most of it (the review lost a star when animal cruelty was involved). The story moved well and had a definite ending. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher. Machelle Williams was able to provide a sense of urgency one would not get reading the book. She did a great job with the various characters, and added humor through how she said things, not necessarily what she said.

Suspenseful

I can believe I just listened to a complete book and no one knew that I was listening, I was talking to myself, I really enjoyed this, maybe I'll be listening more often!

In Desperation

“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”

This is a suspenseful book. Tony is trying to find out what happened to his fiancee. Her best friend (who just happens to be the police chief's daughter joins the hunt. The story is on the dark side, but not to the point of macabre. Will the two solve the mystery or will Yvonne be gone forever?

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.
