Delightfully funny characters

I really like this story as the main character reflects what most people in this world believe about God. However, the witness of Christian characters in the novel convince her to give God a second look. That is what we are all called to do; shine His light so others may see.

A page turner you can't put down

I read a lot of mysteries and it is a lot of fun when it can be weaved with humor and lovable characters. I have to read more about her struggle with God, her passion for truth, and to find out answers about her father and brother. I look forward to the next visit with this cozy mystery series.

Lighthearted feel good book

I love mysteries, and this one had action & adventure coupled with great humor. I also enjoyed the unfolding journey of Gabby’s view on God & the thought processes along the way because people do often doubt God when they’ve been through the traumas of life—the love & truth from others will help them come to a place of faith, just as a couple of the characters helped Gabby.
This was an easy read that was very enjoyable.

Another’s review

Someone had written they could not finish this book because it’s blasphemous. She or he should have finished the book to read the message it holds.

A great surprise ... An AWESOME book!

After having listened to so many “bestsellers” and growing tired of the lack of virtues and values, I finally decided to search for a Christian book. Admittedly, I primarily just wanted to support the genre by purchasing while having faith (pardon the pun) that the book would be at least tolerable. And WOW was I pleasantly surprised! This book is a shining example of how the protagonist can be virtuous and the story can include references to seeking God without compromising the overall story. In many ways it is more authentic than the “bestsellers” in that we know people struggle with Christianity and their faith as they encounter obstacles in life so why not include it in the story?

An excellent start to a new series

This weekend I had to tackle my flowerbeds. I popped this story in and 6 1/2 hours later, my yard work is complete and I was surprised at how much I accomplished!

This is an excellent start to a new series. I love the fact that our protagonist isn't a librarian or in law enforcement. The cast of characters is well-rounded and I definitely want to know more!

Reba Buhr did a fabulous job with this story and keeping the listener engaged and wanting more.

Gabby St. Claire is just finishing up another day on the job, cleaning and disinfecting a home of a crime scene. It isn't glamorous or something you want to share over cocktails with new friends, but it pays the bills. Only, this current job, is turning out to be dangerous for Gabby and her friends.

I enjoyed all the twists and turns. I also liked the way the various story lines are developing. Christy Barritt wants to keep her readers on their toes and to expect the unexpected. I like it!

Looking forward to the next book in the series.
