I am. It sure what the equivalent of a page turner is in the audio book world but this book is that. My poor dog has walked miles in the last few days as I could not bare to stop listening to this fascinating, gripping, emotional tale.
Hannah Murray is the only person I could imagine telling this tale. The only sad thing is that I have just listened to the best book of 2017 & it isn't even the end of Jan.

What a delight - what a surprise

When I started listening to Ali Land's Good me Bad me, I thought I had made a big mistake in buying the book. I found Hannah Murray's soft monotone voice infuriating and off-putting. How wrong I was - 'never judge a book by its cover' - excuse the near pun.

Hannah Murray's reading of this engrossing and must listen too story was perfect.

So, my only complaint is that it is 4.30am and I only wish I had started listening earlier yesterday so that I could at least have had a decent night's sleep. I'm knackered 😴

Listened in one day

Loved this book. Finished it in one day. Narration is monotone but I felt it really gave the book a dark atmosphere.

Haunting. Horrifying. Utterly brilliant.

If you like thrillers, you will be hard-pressed to find better than this. The narrator does a brilliant job, and I wish I could give more than 5 stars for it. Even if you've read the print version, I would recommend listening to this, it adds so much more to it.
Just, please, before you download, understand that the narrator is portraying the character of a deeply disturbed young girl, and that is the reason for the monotone delivery. Reviewers saying they couldn't listen to it and hated it because of the narrator are completely missing the point.

Totally different

Harrowing whilst being entertaining. It's worse when you realise the author was a child psychologist so I'd be willing to bet this is more fact based than we'd care to believe.

Best book ... fantastic narration.

Would you listen to Good Me Bad Me again? Why?

Yes it's the best book I've listened to, I couldn't stop listening. Others have complained about the narrator's voice being too monotone, but i disagree, she changes her voice to suit the characters. The main character having been through great trauma and abuse is bound to affect how she speaks. Love it.

A dark story with twists & turns

What did you like most about Good Me Bad Me?

The suspense & how what had happened before was drip fed - just the right amount to hold your interest all the way through

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No - probably too much to take in .

Absolutely brilliant

What did you like most about Good Me Bad Me?

This was a very clever book. Very different to anything I had listened to before. It was very suspensful and dramatic. I loved it.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved not knowing what Annie/Millie was going to do next. It was quite subtle so it was hard to guess.

Have you listened to any of Hannah Murray’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No I haven't. The monotone voice she does in this book almost put me off but don't let it. It is kind of needed for the story she is telling and would have been weird if Millie's voice had been all chirpy and cheerful.

Any additional comments?

I just loved this book. I could not stop listening and ended up staying up late to finish it. Highly recommended.

Well-crafted & intriguing thriller

Strong story told from an unusual angle. Left us wanting to know more about the characters (possible sequels?)

Persuasive reading performance.

Awful narration

I was so excited to see this book I bought it without reading the reviews. I've no doubt it's a great book but the author must be pretty upset by the monotone narration. Such a pity, a great book spoilt!

Great read

Really enjoyed this book, largely due to the brilliant performance of the narrator. The way she changed her voice and tone throughout to reflect the mood of the scene and different characters really brought the story to life. The story itself was good although a little predictable in parts. Overall a great book.
