Publisher's Summary

Ann Silver is a cop’s cop. As the Midwest Homicide Investigator, she is called in to help local law enforcement on the worst of cases, looking for answers to murder. Hers is one of the region’s most trusted investigative positions. Paul Falcon is the FBI’s top murder cop in the Midwest. If the victim carried a federal badge or had a security clearance, odds are good Paul and his team see the case file or work the murder.

Their lives intersect when Ann arrives to pass a case off her desk and onto his. A car wreck and a suspicious death offer a lead on a hired shooter he is tracking. Paul isn’t expecting to meet someone, the kind that goes on the personal side of the ledger, but Ann Silver has his attention.

The better he gets to know her, the more Paul realizes her job barely scratches the surface of who she is. She knows spies and soldiers and U.S. Marshals, and has written books about them. She is friends with the former vice president. People with good reason to be cautious about who they let into their lives deeply trust her. Paul wonders just what secrets Ann is keeping, until she shows him the John Doe Killer case file, and he starts to realize just who this lady he is falling in love with really is....

Long on meanningless dialouge, short on the story

What disappointed you about Full Disclosure?

The dialogue in this novel does not ring true. Male figures have conversations that no man would have. The characters all seem to have complete insight into one another, which is unrealistic. The main characters have abilities and talents far beyond those of mere mortals. The story would be more natural with characters based on more normal folks. There is also a gratuitous Christian theme, which doesn't seem to advance the story.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dee Henderson again?

No

What didn’t you like about David de Vries’s performance?

I don't think it is necessary to affect various voices in the performance. It is distracting.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment.

Insipid Christian romance

Basing my review on the description given of the book, it is NOT AS ADVERTISED! I was expecting a cop mystery/thriller, absolutely not what I got! There is very little mystery, yes, the main characters are cops or FBI agents but that's secondary to their personal relationships with God and a budding love story. I have nothing against Christian stories, even enjoy them occasionally but this was just too much, could not force myself to finish it. Wish I could return it....

Full Disclosure: Don't Bother

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I can't think of anyone who would enjoy this. The old writer's maxim of 'show don't tell" does not apply hear.. Henderson does nothing but tell and in the most boring way possible. It should also have a disclaimer about it's Christian philosophy.

What could Dee Henderson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Concentrate on one story - the opening mystery, not all kinds of crimes that are only discussed by the characters.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I think his boredom came through loud and clear.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Full Disclosure?

The opening caught my attention, the only place she showed the action and then it just went away because the character of Ann told a story and then the murderer was caught.Really?!

An OK Read

I am a fan of Dee Henderson, so I was a bit disappointed with this one.
It didn't keep my attention to the end like her other books.

I was very pleased at the beginning of the book when I found that the O'Malleys are in the book, but then it just fizzled from there.

It doesn't grab you to the end.
Not a bad story, but not a great one.

Maybe I just got spoiled...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

If an individual had never read or listened to a Dee Henderson book before, Full Disclosure may have caught his or her fancy. Having characters from the author's other books show up in this story was interesting. However, having the main character of Full Disclosure be the author of Dee's other stories felt...wrong. I would still buy this book because of the writing style. It amuses me that every character speaks with such 'matter-of-factness'.

A Bit Too Much In The Wrong Way

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, it was just TOO unbelievable, sorry. Don't want to give away the story, but he's an FBI agent, she knows several of his friends AND family members, has written best-selling books about them and they NEVER met each other? There are more "too good to be true" issues with this novel, it was just a bit too much. If some of those things were not in the book, the story would have been pretty good, it was just overdone in my opinion.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Not surprised really, too many things pointed to it.

What does David de Vries bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Good narrative voice, it did make the purchase worth it.

Could you see Full Disclosure being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

It would need some editing. One choice would be Christopher Noth and Anne Hathaway.

Lots of surprises

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book, but only if they first read Dee's OMalley and Military Series. I've enjoyed her stories so much, and re-read them often. Was so excited when I saw she FINALLY published another.

What did you like best about this story?

In the beginning, I was ready to email her and ask her why she she didn't use the correct names. I recognized Dave and Kate right away, but it was Richards, not Sinclair. Glad I waited. Loved the way she pulled it all together. Loved the way I could recognize all her characters. So satisfying. I absolutely LOVED all of it.

Which scene was your favorite?

At the end, that she married Paul.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did have an extreme reaction. I did both, with a lot of OHHHS in there too.

Any additional comments?

Please Dee, don't wait so long to write more. I've re-read you so much, I could probably quote dialogue. You're a very gifted writer. A feel good writer. We need more.

Can't Relate to Storyline

Although I understood this was a Christian writer, I have read such books, like the Walt Longmire stories, that weren't so religious. In this book, there is no cursing, drinking, smoking, or sex, but it is about people who spend a lot of time reading the bible. That is, it is not real life. Really, the star of the story is a forty year old vergin? The plot is boring, boring, boring. They are after murder for hire killers. I would not recommend anyone buying this book. I am glad I only paid a low sale price, but feel I wasted my money even then.

Take note this is Christian book

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. Since I could not finish the book I could not recommend it to others.

What was most disappointing about Dee Henderson’s story?

It lacked passion and chemistry.

Have you listened to any of David de Vries’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narration was wonderful and what kept me trying to listen longer, but unfortunately I could not finish the book.

Was Full Disclosure worth the listening time?

No

Any additional comments?

The fact that it is a Christian book might not have kept me from purchasing the story, but I do wish I had known going into it. I really like suspense romances but this was NOT a romance. There was no passion and I didn't even feel chemistry between the main characters. I felt like it was more of a business merger then a budding romance. Ms. Henderson seems to have a large fan base and that's wonderful, but I thought a review should be posted letting others know what they are going into.
