Another incredibly suspenseful Psychic Eye Mystery

I have loved all of the psychic eye books except Lethal Outlook. I was a little concerned Mrs Laurie was loosing her touch. That was a hollow concern. Deadly Forecast is one of the best, if not the best so far. The only one of the series that comes close, or surpasses, is Vision Impossible: I haven't decided yet. What I really like about this book is the dual timelines of each chapter. That approach, which is new to this series, makes for incredible suspense ... and of course Elizabeth Michaels' narration only enhances the drama. I Found myself laughing out loud several times. Deadly forecast is a must for fans of this series and anyone else wanting a funny, suspenseful, entertaining thriller.

Great Books - Horrible Narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend that a friend buy the books, not the audio because the narrator is horrible.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I prefer to read the books rather than listen to them because Elizabeth Michaels has a voice that grates on my nerves and has very little emotion. The characters are one-dimensional with Ms. Michaels and the minute emotional elements she brings to the characters seem off with the what I feel Ms. Laurie is expressing. Maybe I'm being harsh, or maybe I'm just spoiled by narrators such as Lorelei King, Amanda Ronconi, Holter Graham and Richard Armitage who bring so much more to their interpretations than Ms. Michaels seems capable of.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I haven't finished the audiobook yet. I've decided to read the rest of it on my Kindle.

Riveting

This was the best one yet. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I really like this book but it spends too much time on insignificant stuff. It needs to get to the point quicker.

What did you like best about Deadly Forecast? What did you like least?

I did not like how Abby kept the gloomy forecast going all through the book only to be wrong about it. Frankly it was a drag down for one of her books.

What was most disappointing about Victoria Laurie’s story?

THe story line for sure

What aspect of Elizabeth Michaels’s performance would you have changed?

maybe getting happier would have helped but all I heard was her falling down, getting her boyfriend upset & her hips colllapsing on her.

Yes, I thought I figured out the perp early on....but I was wrong.

her voice is very pleasing to listen to. She gives life to abby and dutch

love the story

I loved the story. Ms. Laurie is an amazing author. What I didn't like was how the narrator changed some of the voices. Kat and Bryce are the two that were the worst, especiallyBryce. Bryce sounds like peewee herman and Kat is just all wrong.
The story is heart pounding as usual and Abby is Abby. She is brilliant but continues to make poor choices.......following her heart and not that big brain.
I am anxious to hear the next book.

Horrible narrator.

I love this series. I do, but the narrator has ruined the enjoyment for me. She’s awful. It’s so hard to force myself to finish the books with her narration. And her voices are awful. Why would you make Harrison sound like a small geeky nerd? And that’s the only voice she changes. Just his. You can never tell who is speaking because she doesn’t change her voice at all. This narrator did the author a HUGE disservice by narrating her novels.

Loved it great couldn’t you put it down three I didn’t realize that he was the killer. Candace left a book can’t wait read more.
