Inconsistencies, but great story

Fun series, great twisting story.

The narrator has gotten way better, but still doesn't do male voices well. She came up with a new voice for agent Harrison, after him being in 2 previous books, that doesn't fit his personality.

More inconsistencies: M.J. Who used to be Abby's best friend and partner, now seem like near strangers who haven't kept in contact. When Abby talks of her parents, they sound more abusive with each book.
Kat, Abby's sister, seems completely crazy and obsessed, with no reference to the great love and dependence they have on each other, or how they call each other daily, or how Abby has and does stand up to her, or how she mainly lives in Boston with her husband and young twins.

Despite it all, it was a fun romp.

Best in the Series

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, but this was my favorite listen.. As another reviewer eloquently put it, Abby is all grown up and the story line was more edge of your seat then most of the others in the series.. You don't have to read the entire series to enjoy this book, but the characters will make more sense if you do.

Outstanding!!!

I've read all of the Abby Cooper books and this has to be my all time FAVORITE! The story grips you from page one. Although I got frustrated with Abby for ducking all efforts to actually take charge and plan her own wedding it all resolved to a highly satisfying ending. This was an intricate, well thought out mystery that I could not put down! I salute Ms. Laurie for her skill with this book. Thanks for a GREAT read/listen!! :)

Great book except...

The voice of Bryce Harrison was awful!! This is supposed to be a commanding authority figure. Portraying him with a whiny wimpy voice was a terrible choice. The rest of the presentation was excellent.

Bryce

I don't know why the reader felt she needed to change Harrisons voice but that was hard to listen to..

what happen to Brice?

Would you try another book from Victoria Laurie and/or Elizabeth Michaels?

Yes...I would read more of Victoria Laurie... I've read (or listen to) all eleven books in books in row in a matter of a few weeks. And I liked the story line.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I do not know what happen to Brices voice... in this book he sounds like an old lady. I was almost not able to listen. .. I even went back to the other books and his voice was fine, but this voice was horrible.

Any additional comments?

Reissue with the original Brice voice... how could this have been released. ...

Good, but not my favorite

The story was good, it just appeared to be needlessly long. Also, what happened to Brice Harrison's voice. It was different and very distracting. But I still love Abby and the gang.

Love the Premise of the Psychic Eye Series, But...

What made the experience of listening to Deadly Forecast the most enjoyable?

The swearing that Abby does is just out of control. The author has her say all the time "swearing doesn't count..." and gives an instance. ENOUGH ALREADY!!! It is a great book series, but Yikes is about all that is needed as an exclamation.

Would you recommend Deadly Forecast to your friends? Why or why not?

Oh, yes, here is my other beef: Abby eats junk food and supposedly is slim. This makes for truly fictional story. At least her best bud eats well.

Which scene was your favorite?

I really like how committed Abby and Dutch are, how Abby loves her friends, how patient she is with Kat, and is a all-around caring person (but with a big bad mouth on her). Perhaps the author is trying to balance Abby's goodness with a lousy vocabulary in moments of difficulty. Whatever it is, nix the bad language; okay?

What a wedding

Great story line kept you drawn in the whole time. Never would have guessed the bad guy.

Disappointing

This book was difficult to listen to. It felt choppy. The timeline was difficult to follow. There was no hint what the time period was. A simple lead like two days before the wedding would have made it more smooth.
A change in voice would also help let you know what character is speaking.
