Zoe Chambers, paramedic and deputy coroner in rural Pennsylvania's tight-knit Vance Township, has been privy to a number of local secrets over the years, some of them her own. But secrets become explosive when a dead body is found in the Township Board president's abandoned car. A GOOD READ

I really enjoyed this little book. It stuck with the mystery without putting in any mushy romance. My favorite characters were the Grandmother and the teen age kids. (Fictional teen agers are easier to deal with than the real thing!) This book has a good ending and I look forward to reading the next book!

Good listen for cozy mystery buffs

Overall, I enjoyed this book. The narrator wasn't one of the best I've ever heard, but she wasn't bad either, and she didn't have any annoying tics or anything that would make you want to stop listening. The story was solid, if somewhat predictable. The major characters are relatable and likeable. I plan to give the series a listen.

Good story worth the listen

Similar in nature to many mystery series out there. The heroic female character who investigates on the side and get herself in trouble. The male police chief comes along there are sparks. Etc. Still with the listen it's entertaining.

Intriguing read

I actually met this author the other day. And had no idea she was a best selling author. She mentioned her trade to me and I looked her up. I went thru this book in 48 hours. Due to work and family interferences it took longer than it would have. But I already have the 2nd downloading. Great read. Thank you Annette for introducing me to my new series 😉.

Circle of Influence (Zoe)

This is the first book in this series. It's takes place in a small town in Pennsylvania. This book is about zoe she's a paramedic. This is an easy book to follow. Pete is the police chief. He has to keep coming to Zoey's rescue. They are the two main characters. But there is several strong characters in the town. I didn't know who done the killing till the end. I will continue with this series. It's not complicated. It's one of the best easy or cozy mysteries I've found. I highly recommend trying this book. Romy Nordlinger does an excellent job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

Twisted in Ways You Won't See Coming

Circle of Influence is an outstanding murder mystery with twists and turns aplenty. The book is well written with believable characters. There where characters I rooted for and characters I hoped would come to a bad end. The police and detectives where intelligently written as was Zoe the heroine.

Never forget old boyfriends!

(As posted in Goodreads.)
It was fun; the suspects kept changing, and the real villains were not those originally expected, but the overall bad guy was not surprising for anyone familiar with mystery books overall. But the ultimate goals of different characters were unexpected, and the underlying plot was interesting.
