Publisher's Summary

Kate and Price Lewis had the perfect marriage - love, fulfilling careers, and a great apartment in the city. But when Price's work takes him overseas and his plane goes down, their happily-ever-after goes down with it.

A year later, Kate is still trying to cope. She's tied to her grief as tightly as she was bound to Price. When her sister-in-law coaxes her into an extended girls' trip - three weeks on a remote island in the South Pacific - Kate agrees. At a villa as secluded as the island, they're the only people in sight, until Kate sees a ghost walking toward them on the beach. Price is alive.

Their reunion is anything but picture perfect. Kate has been loyal to the husband she thought was dead, but she needs answers. What she gets instead is a cryptic proposal - go back home in three weeks, or disappear with Price...forever. Emotions run high, passions burn bright, and Kate faces an impossible choice. Can Price win back his wife? Or will his secrets tear them apart?

Just not for me

I'm beginning to think it's me. I just don't seem to click with these Misadventures books the way others are clicking. This story is okay.
Kate and Price experience a tragic event.

The story picks up a year later, after Price's death. That's not a spoiler, it's in the blurb. Kate is still trying to pick up the pieces, but what happens when Price strides back into her life--alive and well?!

Kate isn't sure how to handle it, Price just wants to get back to them.

But can love conquer that kind of betrayal? The kind of lies and games that have been played to keep them both alive?

Yeah, it isn't my bag either, but here we are.

The performance is a bit off to me

I don’t know if the problem is production or acting, but Rowe’s performance in her own book for “misadventures “ was much more believable. I could see the gleam in her eye when she teased. Here, it’s almost robotic. Combined with a story that had me yelling, “oh hell no” to sleeping with someone whom you had buried, without an explanation, was just too much. I didn’t finish the book.

Price and Kate

I never thought I’d say this but this book had way too many sex scenes. There needed to be more conversations between Price and Kate. Maybe he was distracting her with all the “alone” time, avoiding drama. After a while I cringed when a new encounter happened. It would’ve been a wonderful story if I could get past that.
Lauren Rowe was amazing, and of course hearing Joe Arden’s voice was wonderful. They both brought these characters to life.

Really poor writing

Joe Arden was the only good thing. I normally never think there can be too much sex but this book managed it by having monotonous repetitive eye rolling sex every two seconds. Very underwhelming.

DNF: Ugh

The perfect man who only increases on perfection each and every time they make love! Constant and unending orgasims starting from the first minute. I can only have sex with her/him. He/She is perfect in every way! I won't tell her why I did what I did? He needs to tell me but sex is more important?

After nearly 2 hours of massively unrealistic barbie and Ken love fest, I could not take anymore!

Seriously hot! The story was ok.

When Kate discovers her dead husband of a year isn’t really dead, she’s shocked, and immediately thrust into a world of danger, secrets, and lies.

There was lots of heat in this story, and the chemistry between Kate and Price was off the charts. For me, it seemed a little long, and there was some repetition. Other than that, it was a really good story. Joe Arden always does such a great job narrating. Lauren Rowe does a good job.

Wasn't sure about this one but I LOVED it!!

I don't like reading books about people dying and death, sure how I would like this one. Thankfully, the author led you up to the event, then went straight to present day. It is a great story and one of my favorites! It moves fast, leaves nothing unanswered, and make you really root for the characters.

Great Story!

This story was very intriguing. It had me from the beginning and didn’t let go!! Loaded with sexual content and undying love. The sex was amazing, but for me, with this storyline, I would have preferred more story content and less sex.
The narration was perfect.
If steamy, romance with a little mystery thrown it, this definitely the book for you!
