Great Read

Misadventures with a Country Boy (Misadventures #17) was a great read by Elizabeth Hayley. Brooke Devereaux has had to escape a career she didnt ask for, a future she didnt want, and parents who only use her as a business opportunity. She quickly realizes that she doesn’t know how to survive on her own in her desire to experience life. Cole Timmons is a former soldier who does a good job at running away. He doesn’t hesitate to leave, until he encounters an out-of-place woman at a gas station. They are in the middle of nowhere, and the wealthy princess is completely different than he is. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

Brooke and Cole....what a great story. Girl chooses boy over her singing career. Teddy and CJ were great narrators and the chemistry was funny, humorous and sexy. If you're looking for hot and erotic, nope, but there's enough sexual chemistry and hotness to satisfy your quest. And don't forget about Teddy's voice. Oh, my!!
I really liked this book and Teddy is a favorite narrator. I've listened to CJ Bloom in some other series, one in particular, and she was fabulous. She was very funny and sassy in his book making the narration really great.
Loved the book, loved the writing and characters and worth a credit.

Oh Country Boy

So Teddy Hamilton, I have heard before. But this was my first listen from CJ Bloom and I liked her. Elizabeth Hayley were amazing with their story and characters. I thoroughly enjoyed both the narrators,

Brooke was too much of a spoiled brat

I wish the summary had been more clear that Brooke was running from fame because those types of MCs , with their famous people’s problems, aren’t very relatable. Add in the fact that Brooke spent most of the story being a self-absorbed, spoiled know it all, and I didn’t love this romance between a genuinely noble veteran Cole and his “princess.” Top it off with early sex before they knew anything about each other and this was an okay, mild, and not very relatable romance.
