Where has Scott Hildreth been ALL my life?! If you know him, tell him to write MORE words! I need ALL the words! Seriously.

I read this story in 2020 when it released, and I remember having such a great reading experience that of course I jumped on the discounted audio-companion, and I enjoyed it just as much if not more! I love how Joe Arden narrates stories! He doesn’t just read his lines, he performs the parts, and it makes all the difference! He embraces the characters and is all in with every high and low and everything in between. I’m also a big fan of Emma Wilder and she and Joe played really well off each other. Excellent listening experience!

📚📚STORY REVIEW & RATING: 5 STARS📚📚

This author’s style was a breath of fresh air for me. If I say this is a freestyle kinda book, would you know what I mean? That’s the only word swimming in my head right now. Freestyle is defined, basically, as having little or few restrictions. I have never read this author before and I would bet money right now that every single one of his books is not conventional. I would bet that none of them follow traditional story beats. #betme

I don’t know how to explain this book properly. I don’t have the right words. I mean I’ve been thinking on it for days now and it’s not just that the plot was layered well, and the characters developed nicely, it’s a feeling I had while I read. I felt like I was experiencing the journey of these two people. It was glorious. If I break it down, there is a lot going on in this book, but at the same time, it’s about two people who, on paper, seem to have zero characteristics that would make them compatible to journey to a HEA, but if you look beyond the surface, they were perfection! But it wasn’t just about them. Life happened around them, as it would in real life because only people in a book live in a bubble, and this author incorporated all of that without dragging the book down or slowing down the pace of the romance. If anything, it enhanced the story.

I could go on with a bunch of details about their combustible chemistry and the edge of your seat shenanigans going on all around but I don’t want to because I don’t give plot points in my reviews but also because I really just want to leave you with what I stated above and having that as your momentum to #oneclick this book or any other book by him, because I one-clicked them all and regret nothing!

Unexpected laughs

There were a lot of topics discussed that I didn’t expect. I laughed so loud. They were not typical, they were a bit naughty but oh so funny.
Devin is a guy who went to jail protecting a woman, and charged for a crime much worse than was due. When he gets out he gets a job with Teddy, who doesn’t trust her heart or men.
They find what’s important and what they want. A fun listener. Emma Wilder and Joe Arden bring great audio performances.

loved listening to this book. it was funny, steamy and an all around great story.

An original story

This is the first book that I’ve read/listened to from this author and I loved it. The story was original and the characters were interesting. I really enjoy both of these narrators so it was a pleasure to listen to this book.

Loved this

Bone is one complicated sexy man. Tedi is one strong amazing woman. They have an instant connection. There chemistry is off the charts. Loved there back and forth banter.

Fun story

This was a fun listen. The second Teddi sees Devin, she wants him, but because of the demise of her last relationship, she doesn't trust men. Devin is a tough biker with a heart of gold. He's also a convicted felon finding it difficult to land a job until he applies for an open receptionist position at Teddi's real estate office. This story had me laughing throughout and there were some touching moments with Joe and his older, cantankerous roommate.

Joe Arden and Emma Wilder were great as Devin and Teddi.

Most definitely Misadventures

So you can never go wrong with Joe Arden and Emma Wilder. I love them and they were perfect as Teddi and Devin.
