It was OK...

The storyline is similar to another series she wrote about a zombie apocalypse, just magical.

Great story line

Great story line, definitely keeps you drawn in wish there had been another chapter on “the bond”

The storytelling was smooth and continuous. All eight books were a great story that led to a final conclusion that was easy to follow. Look forward to more titles.

Great overall story

I really enjoyed how this story contained a good mix of upbeat happy tribes people with the horror of the corrupted and mass death. Sex scenes were well balanced as well

None I like the way they did everything and succeeded at their goals. I enjoyed it very much. I hope someone else would enjoy it as well.

Fine

A male Mary Sue seeks to save an island of exiles by simply being better at everything than everyone, while collecting a virginal female of every race like SeggsPokémon.

As a woman, I spent a lot of time hoping maternal mortality rates aren't a thing in this world because he is impregnating women left and right while essentially living in the stone age.

There's nothing bad about this, but it just didn't engage me very much. I like survival novels, but all the survival stuff happens behind the scenes.
I like romance novels, but the romance was essentially,

"I want to be intimate with you."
"I want to be intimate with you."
*Shares intimacy while she screams about how he is the most amazing thing ever*
"Bond mates?"
"Bond mates."

So, if you just want to escape to a low-stakes fantasy world where you can imagine being naturally amazing at everything you do, while every race stands in awe of you as you collect a harem of insatiable women, this is could be the book for you.

I loved the vision of coexistence

I’ve been hooked on Misty’s books. I am hooked on the fantasy of viable harems. The use of the accents with the characters had me identifying nationalities and the conflicts within them and seeing Jack as an ambassador to conflict resolution. He has all the strength but leads with actions not fear or threats. I loved it. Thanks Mike H

Spicy but wholesome

When i started this audio book series it seemed like it was just some spicy fantasy set in the caveman era but as i continued to listen the story slowly unveiled until it was spicy and fun listening to the characters grow and prevail in there struggles and near the end it got really wholesome with almost every character growing and my favorite the old man karn and jak had a really touching moment near the end the got me tearing up

Amazing story

An amazing story with just the right amount of sex thrown in. The narration and character development within each voices character was astounding.
