Loved Mac

I have read this many times and I love it. Love the narrator also. Cannot wait to see what happens next. The story line is not the same old thing. Both Mountain men books are great reads.

Falling for Mac!

Mac has to be one of the broodiest heroes Jane Henry has written. I think that is what is so attractive about him. After meeting him in Leith, I was very excited to see his story was next, and he does not disappoint! Mac does what he needs to avenge his family. Wooing the enemies daughter and winning her trust should be a piece of cake. But falling for her was not in the cards. Bryn is given a mission by her father. Win the heart of Mac, so he can infiltrate and take out the Cowen Clan. Little does she know how difficult this task is going to be. And our story takes off. Talk about pulling you into a story and not letting go! I love this Scottish mafia spin off of the Dangerous Doms. Bryn is feisty, and smart. I love that she is ambitious in her own right and knows what she wants. Mac is dark and dangerous, and he swoon worthy! His protectiveness is like no other, and he won my heart. The suspense and excitement builds in this one and when it explodes, you just don't see it coming! I loved the surprise! This is one of my favorites of Jane's and I have listened to them all. It's excellent!

Michael Pierce is perfect for the Scottish accent. But not only does he pull that off, but we get Irish, American and little Italian too! He is very talented, easily distinguishes his voices and creates the dangerous atmosphere needed for this story. I enjoy his narrations and this one is no exception!

Great listen

This is another wonderful story written by Jane Henry. This series of the Cowen family (Scot mafia) is so good. Bryn and Mac are a great couple that you can’t help but root for. I loved their story and could not put it down. Jane Henry did not disappoint.

I hope a new narrator comes next

I can understand why Mrs. Henry would choose this guy, he has a strong accent almost to the point of not understanding him and his female voice in the last book drove me up the wall. I have a lot of her books so I know she chooses people like Wenn Ross and Kai Honeycutt. So I expect the best from her books and narrators. Otherwise the stories are a spin-off of their Irish friends dangerous doms. So I’m giving this series a try.

Family, revenge,and love

This is another tantalising story of the Cowen Clan. Mac and Bryn are both together in hopes to settle scores for their clans. Mac wants revenge for injustices done to the Cowens. Bryn's father just uses his daughters to advance the Aitkin's wealth and also wants to see the Cowens destroyed. She is seeking a way of escape. But Mac and Bryn are blindsided when love comes into this mixture and Bryn finds a loving family. I love the plot and character development of the story. Both characters fight an inner battle about what they are doing. There's plenty of action as these two clans battle against each other. There is an a wild rollercoaster ride of a climax. There are spankings and hot passionate love scenes.

The narrator does a fine job of portraying the emotions and action in the story. I highly recommend this Audible book. I will be listening to this book again.
