classic Ann Rule!

Early, classic Ann Rule! I had the privilege of meeting her once years ago at a signing my then boyfriend was running security for in the Everett or Lynnwood, WA Mall. She was gracious and signed a book I had bought & brought for my baby sister. i have yet to find another author who writes as she did.
Great reader as well!

In depth story of a serial killer

This book was captivating, yet scary to realize that serial killers are so hard to find and that many get out of prison after serving only a short time. The narration was excellent and the story was well written with in depth character development. I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of real life crime stories. I have read almost all of Ann Rules books with this being the first audio version. I plan to listen to more of her audio books.!

Good listen

Not one of my favourites from her but it was definitely worth buying. I love how detailed she is.

A true story of a serial killer

Well written and kept my interest, but the narrator drove me crazy. Part of the time it was like she was speaking in 1.25 speed and sounded robotic and a lot of mispronunciation of common words (especially in the last hour of the book) and this totally detracted from the story.

Grotesque twists and turns!

My only qualm is that narrators aren't given pronunciations for important regional landmarks. In the PNW, everyone knows "it's WillAMette, dammit!"

Narrator was not very good in the last hour of the book. Could not pronounce words correctly.

For some reason in the last hour or so of the story the narrator was not able to pronounce several common words. Strange

Ann Rule set the standard

Ann Rule knew how to tell a horrendous story with real depth and respect for the victims. Bring a strong stomach to this gut churning tale of truly disgusting perversion, narcissism and sadism. In the hall of shame that includes all of the worst creatures that have walked this earth, Brudos is a standout for his complete lack of compassion and humanity. What a total piece of sh*t. Words fail me. Read it if you must. I wish I hadn’t. He died of cancer in prison, whining for himself to the end. There, I’ve saved you some trauma.

Well written and acted and very compelling

Even though I was somewhat familiar w the case the audiobook held my interest throughout. Anne Rule is now on my short list of authors I listen to regularly. Her writing is very natural and the performers are top notch and seamless.

Interesting but not as good as I-5 Killer

I listened to a sample and hesitated on using a credit on the book but it was actually Better once I got into the story. Not as good as the I-5 Killer but still worth a listen

Narrator sounds like a Siri voice

I love the book, but the narrator sounds like she’s a computer. Actually sometimes I really wonder if it’s a human. Also she doesn’t pronounce Willamette correctly and a few other words. Either it’s the recording, or it really is robot voice
