Hot, Dark, and Very Twisted

1st time with these narrators listening to the series. They were perfect. Will be looking for more by them.
The series rode the edge of my tolerance for dark and twisted lines. The saving grace is the heroine is a fast learner and not afraid to step up.
The one thing I had a hard time getting past was what Stori and Killer call each other.
**It has a LOT of triggers but was worth it.**

Great narration; Even better sequel

🥵🥵🥵 this has, in fact, gotten spicier than the first book. I’m all for some good revenge, and Story is out for hers! The thing with revenge is that when you dish it out, there is always a chance you can get burned in return—and we know the Lords don’t respond nicely to being messed with.

But Wrath? 😍 Where can i find a Wrath IRL.

This book has lived in my head rent free and I immediately jumped to book three.

Also, the narration is great and well cast in my opinion!

Favorite bully series

By far best bully series I’ve ever read. I read the entire series already and now I’m listening to it on audible. It’s even better with the fantastic narration! You won’t be disappointed.

Come for the spice, stay for the awesome narration

Each book gets better and better! I like how the story has developed. Bridgit and Jake Bordeaux really bring the story to life. In particular, the differentiation in the male character voices is really strong, so it's easy to know which character is speaking. I love me some Rath. Can't wait to listen to more of this series.

Good ending

There was a meaning to all the abuse & fu$&ery in the book. I don’t want to give away the ending and I know there will be other reviews that will say that they couldn’t get past first chapter- however the book has several small exciting moments to keep the reader hanging on. There is plenty of sex throughout & it’s a book about the depavity of life that does exist. If you don’t want to hear or read about it- this book isn’t for you. It’s also about how to possibly heal from that even if it’s not necessarily in the traditional & healthiest way.

Better than the first

Story was ruthless. The boys deserved a little payback but I was shocked at what she did. She was better in this book than in the first

Really enjoying this series. Wish I started the series sooner. The narration is amazing as always. Book 2 resumes where book 1 ends. Highly recommend!

Genuinely undecided

I love dark romance. Super dark romance. Way darker than this. I don’t read trigger warnings because I didn’t think anything bothered me at all. Turns out my trigger warning are male mmcs with no real redeeming traits. There is lots of grape, victim blaming, torture, manipulation with no remorse and not enough back story to see anything from the man’s point of view. Apologies aren’t really apologies. They just want someone to now to them. They are ultimately bad guys with no conscience or remorse. Even the end didn’t really make up for all the shit they did and didn’t care about doing. They’re just bad guys. With all that being said I still gave it 4 stars because I’m hoping the last book will make up for any redemption from abuse and torture that the first two books lacked completely. I hope the fmc has a stronger back bone. The men just needed more depth and substance to make up for the shit they did. If they had more substance than they would be great books. You can write a man in a story that murders and abuses with one genuine redeeming trait and the readers will still fall in love with him and want them together. But write the same man with no redeeming traits like this series so far and they just make you angry and hate them. So I’m still going to listen to the last one and hope for that redemption arc to form. Also the word spunk is so cringy. Just say the real word. We’re not reading these books for creative words is spicy scenes. Just use the real word. That word just sounds gross

The murder plot twist

Amazing!! Erotic and suspenseful, love the plot!! Great narration! So surprised at who the true villain was! Can’t wait to read the next book!

I was pulled in

This story was such a twist, it all good ways. I love how it stayed with the first one. Once you start listening it’s very hard to stop.
