meh.

I am only 9 chapters in and something feels different in the writing. I have listened to all the other Books of this series multiple times. This has a very different feel to it. I am so far not a huge fan. I am a fan of the male narrator, but the woman's voice is extremely whiny and annoying to me. All the other voices ( Lady, Duchess, and Princess) all had strong powerful women voices behind them, this one is far from it. I will continue to listen to it, I will adjust the rating if need be when I'm done.

The female narrator is very child like and I can’t decide if it’s supposed to fit the story or if it’s just the narrator. Either way, I’m not a fan

The book was good

I like the teasing and preparation- the girl that narrated idk her voice aggravated me a little - Timothy well the king I wish they would have let him indulge but I know the reasons behind why. The book itself was 9/10 for me. Can’t wait to read the next book.

Not for me

I love a good dark and dirty romance but this story wasn’t for me. I couldn’t get into it. I even sped up the narrations and still felt like it was extremely drawn out and the story just didn’t engage me at all I like the concept of the story line but the writing just was a miss. Narration was good and not so good for me. I enjoyed the male voice but the girl’s voice was alot for me. She has a weird cadence that didn’t fit alot of the story. It was great when she was having a manic moment but a full length novel of it was a lot.

The lead female character's voice was cringe to me. Made her sound like a little girl.
