Entertaining, but a few glitches
What about Jeff Woodman’s performance did you like?
I think Jeff Woodman does a great job with all of the character accents. You forget after a while that there is in fact only one person speaking. My one criticism, however, is that there were four separate glitches in the reading of the stories. Three phrases were repeated and there was one short section that must have been recorded at a later date because the sound quality was noticeable different. They didn't impact the overall story, but they were noticeable enough that I felt I should comment.
Any additional comments?
Overall the stories are good. Not as compelling as some of the other Lord John novellas, but still entertaining.

three novellas...short and sweet!
Lord John Gray is a minor character in the Outlander series...yet he is also important to the main characters. Think of him as the supporting actor who holds the cast to the storyline and keeps them true to the piece. Here, he is the main character, and he SHINES!!!

Great collection of the first three Lord John novellas: the previously published Lord John and the Hellfire Club (1998) and Lord John and the Succubus (2003), and the new tale Lord John and the Haunted Soldier, exclusive to this volume.[1][3][10][18] Gabaldon pushed the publication of the collection until after the release of her novel Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade, since the action of Haunted Soldier picks up where Brotherhood of the Blade ends (Wikipedia). Please more Lord John, I'm definitely enjoying these books more than the Outlanders.

Great Novellas!!
It was delightful and refreshing to have the opportunity to delve into the exploits of Lord John. He is probably my favorite character in the series. His personal life is always a cause for intrigue and danger. Mix this with his military career and the responsibility the adjoins his family name.
Kudos for packing so much into so little!! I rather enjoy the need to "keep up" instead of the repetition of the large novels.
I look forward to more!

Another Great Listen!
The Lord John books, novellas, and short stories are my new obsession. His adventures have been a great way to get through the latest Droughtlander. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning more about this fascinating, complex, and not seen enough Outlander character. Lord John needs his own tv series (pay attention STARZ). Now, let’s talk about the narration. I would very likely pay to listen to Jeff Woodman read the dictionary as Lord John. He has a lovely, fluidly smooth voice, is masterful with accents, and the dramatic inflection with which he reads is very effective. That’s it. That’s the review.

Worth the Read
I couldn't leave the world of Outlander. This little book kept me involved for a couple more nights.
Short stories are not my cup of tea. Still, the three stories included kept my interest until the end.
Jeff Woodman, the narrator, held his own covering the characters and most especially our Lord John.
Diana Gabaldon's wonderful writing and wit show throughout this book. And it did keep me in the Outlander world, sans time travel.
It is worth the read.
