Publisher's Summary

The classic inspirational parable from the top motivation and marketing trainer and number-one New York Times best-selling author of The Millionaire Messenger - a triumphant tale of personal growth and change that will inspire anyone who has ever wished for a second chance.

What if you were handed a golden ticket that could magically start your life anew?

That question is at the heart of Life's Golden Ticket. Brendon Burchard tells the story of a man who is so trapped in the prison of his past that he cannot see the possibilities, the choices, and the gifts before him. To soothe his fiancée, Mary, clinging to life in a hospital bed, the man takes the envelope she offers and heads to an old, abandoned amusement park that she begs him to visit.

To his surprise, when he steps through the rusted entrance gates, the park magically comes to life. Guided by the wise groundskeeper, Henry, the man will encounter park employees, answer difficult questions, overcome obstacles, listen to lessons from those wiser than he, and take a hard look at himself.

At the end of his journey, the man opens Mary's mysterious envelope. Inside is a golden ticket - the final phase in turning his tragic life's story of loss and regret into a triumphant tale of love and redemption.

Wow! Amazing.

As the pages turn you become the ink. I read the book. The only book I ever bought four copies for each of our children. I've now listened to the audio to and from my commute to work. The ink, the words, the ticket are rewriting my future! Read and enjoy!

Amazing and Powerful

What made the experience of listening to Life's Golden Ticket the most enjoyable?

The riveting and rich storyline.

What other book might you compare Life's Golden Ticket to and why?

Deepak Chopra's ."The 13th Disciple"

Which scene was your favorite?

The final scene ...and the revelation of the importance of life's requisites

Who was the most memorable character of Life's Golden Ticket and why?

The protagonist

Any additional comments?

The book really surpassed my deepest expectations.
I expected something less riveting and insightful, and in fact it was a true
masterpiece of insightful and meaningful storytelling....yet so archetypal and true.
You will not be disappointed in this book. I suggest the audiobook format as it keeps the dynamic tension going while also portraying the characters with the required amount of color and personality.
this is truly one of those books you should give to those who need a "GoldenTicket" to change their lives..

Would be great for young adults

The story was cute, but it was so transparent and written at such a low literacy level that I felt often that I was listening to a story meant for a child. The message is sweet, but obvious.

Short but basic

The message of the story was good (change your life) and it had a slightly interesting story line intertwined (fantasy carnival and tickets). But I found myself wishing it were over. If it had been longer I would not have finished it. It didn't have enough meat for me.

Good stuff

What did you love best about Life's Golden Ticket?

Great story, although it took some time to develop.

What other book might you compare Life's Golden Ticket to and why?

Think of a Christmas Carol without Christmas

Any additional comments?

The book is a little preachy at times, but I still really enjoyed the story and the parable. The narrator definitely keeps you engaged.

Makes you think

This was an interesting book about how life can drag you down because you allow it to. It reminds me of Charles Dickens "Christmas Carol" in that the main character is forced to examine his life in the past, present, and future.

Creative!

Some of the verbiage was a little bit gimmicky sounding and read in such a way that it felt like a tired and over used "fall back" sermon for an uninspired pastor....

HOWEVER....

The message is as solid as I've heard. The story it's self is both creative and intriguing. Inspiring in it's own way. I love the creative delivery of many fresh perspectives, friendly reminders, and yes... the "feed you to the lions" kind of truths. The characters are relatable enough to identify with and spark an emotional connection to the story as it unfolds. It is the kind of story that elicits introspection, while also keeping the plot moving along so as not to leave you "stuck" in any one moment. In that regard; I wish I knew the significance of the "40 day" experience. Or what came of "Meg". I have other similar questions of that nature - because I felt as though they were left unanswered and hanging in the air a bit. I will buy a physical copy of this book for my personal reference and invite my family and friends to purchase their own copies as well.

Magical

This is an unbelievably magical book that seemed as if it was written for me. I'm sure every reader will feel the same as it gradually casts its spell. Very moving and thought provoking, the various teachings are really profound. It uses the metaphor of an amusement park and the various rides to lead the listener along an enchanting journey that will lead you to challenge your thinking about life. If you're seeking answers or just looking for some life wisdom then I thoroughly recommend it.

Incredible story and book

it is hard to put into words what this book is about and how it will effect those who listen.

A powerful message within a wonderful story and adventure. I couldn't stop listening and shall listen again.

A very different kind of personal development book, and read beautifully by the narrator. I thoroughly recommend it.

I hoped for much more

Reading the reviews was what helped me decide to purchase this book. I enjoy anything that helps get me on a more positive frequency and I am definitely a non-fiction person, so selecting this book which was based more in fiction was out of character, but I was open to getting the same buzz from it that other reviewers have spoken about.

Oh.

It's really not for me. The story was quite laboured, and it just seemed to be a little bit better suited to someone who either prefers fiction, or who doesn't particularly want to better themselves, but rather wants an enjoyable up-beat distraction? All a little bit too predictable for me and better suited to a younger audience.
