Publisher's Summary
A USA Today best seller
Star of Kindred Spirits and paranormal investigator Amy Bruni shares stories from her years of experiences with ghosts, organized around 13 truths that guide her approach to the supernatural.
Amy Bruni, co-star of Kindred Spirits and one of the world's leading paranormal investigators, has learned a lot about ghosts over her years of research and first-hand experience. Now, in Life with the Afterlife, she shares the insight she has gleaned and how it has shaped her unique approach to interacting with the spirits of the dead and those who encounter them.
From her earliest supernatural encounters as a child, through her years appearing on Ghost Hunters and the creation of her company Strange Escapes, which offers paranormal excursions to some of America's most notoriously haunted destinations, and into her current work on The Travel Channel's Kindred Spirits, this book is full of astonishing and deeply moving stories of Amy's efforts to better understand the dead but not yet departed.
With Amy's bright humor and fierce compassion for both those who are haunted and those who are haunting, Life with the Afterlife is an eye-opening look at what connects us as people, in life and beyond.
Critic Reviews
"Bruni's conversational style and ghost-hunting tips that also serve as life tips (go in with an open mind, don't judge, beware of your own bias), plus the fact that she makes no attempt to win over non-believers, make this a perfect read for fans and anyone interested in the paranormal." (Booklist)
"Amy Bruni is one of the world's preeminent paranormal investigators. In her first book, Amy shares her vast knowledge about ghosts and her experience in dealing with the afterlife. Take it from me: spirits are giving this book two tremendous thumbs up." (Chip Coffey, psychic, medium, and TV personality)
"A field guide to things that go bump in the night. Amy's boundless curiosity for the unknown shines through like a bright flashlight in the darkest night." (Josh Gates, host, Expedition Unknown)

This is a great book!
I don’t think I’ve done an audible review before, even though I’ve gone through a countless number of books.
I’m a truck driver, there is nothing better to do while driving very long nights than to have an audio book on and hear some spooky true stories among others. This book may not be “spooky” but it gives an insight on a topic that I’ve always found fascinating. Amy seems like a very personable and down to earth person and the narrator is Al from step by step back in the 90’s! What a great combination!
I highly recommend this book, it’s actually one of my favorites.

Disappointing
Amy seems to have a chip on her shoulder regarding people who were dissatisfied with her investigations. She mentions that numerous times in the book and how these people publicly tried to disparage her.
The book is choppy and bounces all over the place. She doesn’t have very many interesting supernatural tales to tell…

Fantastic Book! One of a Kind.
As a fellow paranormal investigator and someone who has read many paranormal books and articles abound, this book by Amy Bruno stands out as a one of a kind. This book was a fantastic read, very informative and unique. She brought many a new ideas and thoughts for me personally to ponder and also new techniques and experiments to try out in the field. Beautifully written and not just another one sided in-your-face-this-is-the-way-you-do-this book (my way or the highway). So special and very thought provoking, an amazing book of truth and experiences. I love the Kindred Spirits show too! it's all a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. Read it, you won't be dissatisfied. I recommend for anyone looking for a new view of the paranormal field. Happy ghost hunting! Our team will definitely benefit from this book! #intoparanormalkansascrew
