True paranormal story!

As seen on The Travel Channel’s The Dead Files, My Haunted House and the Animal Planet’s The Haunted, Hanover Haunting will leave you sleeping with the lights on. The haunting was so extreme, Amy Allen from The Dead Files warned DeAnna, “There are five men here and they all want you dead!”

As DeAnna Simpson stood on the sidewalk, she knew she had to own the house on Maple Avenue. It called to her in a way she couldn’t explain. What she didn’t realize was that her dream home was filled with unspeakable evil. Once the house locked her tightly in its grips, it wouldn’t let go.

After investigating the house, paranormal legend John Zaffis urged DeAnna to flee the house before it was too late. “You need to get out of here, Dee. It’s ancient. You have to leave. This thing has been here on this land for millions of years, and it’s known about your existence before you were born,” he told her.

Includes personal accounts from leading paranormal investigators, including John Zaffis, Reverend Bill Bean, Sean Austin and Eric Vitale from The Travel Channel’s Ghost Loop, Shaman Michael Robishaw, Chris Nicoletti, David Allen Brown, Pamela Barry, Melissa Leaper, Marc Arvilla and Lauren Sheridan.

Real paranormal fear. Even for skeptics

I'm not one to really believe anything supernatural or religious. But this is all very believable. And very well written and narrated.

I'm liking the voice and will look out for more from him, and the writer, too.

I had another horror AB from this narrator and so I grabbed this one.

Love it. One of my favorite genres, too, even as a skeptic.

I can't believe this poor woman went through this.

Really good!

I enjoyed this book very much and like the way it was written. I don't think I could have stayed in that house for along as they did. I would have been out immediately regardless of taking a loss financially. Awesome story!

Terrible Narration

The story itself is great, but the poor narration made it difficult to finish. The narrator would speak very fast, then slow down, pause in places where there shouldn’t be a pause, etc. If this had a better narrator, I would’ve rated it 5 stars.

a bit dry

I wanted to get into this. I did. I enjoyed the other works by this author. But this one fell short. It droned on and never really picked up to a steady pace.

decent haunting story.

I definitely found myself turning it off a couple times before bed after getting spooked. it was a good story, certainly glad it's not mine, and the narrator did a good job most of the time but in the very beginning it was like he was just rambling. he finally did get into it though I did much better throughout the rest of the story. the only thing that really bothered me was several times they just repeated the same thing word for word over and over to the point that I would actually get confused and think that I'd already heard this part and start fast forwarding. otherwise I'd say it was worth one credit though. the ending kind of sucked I would have expected a lot more for the ending but I'm glad that she finally found peace.

What a strong woman

I have heard about this case many times, I love ghosts, ghost shows, podcasts, websites and more about true hauntings. What this woman endured in that house is just unimaginable. This book is the true story, You get to hear about when Dead Files came to help, John Zaffas and more known and unknown Ghost hunters. This book is one that is hard to hit the stop or pause button on. If you enjoy the paranormal and like REAL hauntings this is a book you should not miss.

Tense, suspense filled true story

The house of horrors Deanna and Tom lived in would drive anyone crazy. From shadow people, to night attacks to scratches and burns. It makes the Amityville House look tame in comparison. For over a decade they dealt with awful paranormal issues, and greedy paranormal hunters only looking to use them for fame.

Great narration and well written, it will keep you at the edge of your seat!

When Leaving is Not an Option

They say, “Careful what you wish for, you just might get it.”  DeAnna Simpson wanted the home on Maple Street and she wanted to marry Tom.  She knew the house was perfect for her and Tom and a place for her children and grandkids to visit.  Her joy was short-lived as the past residents of the house made themselves known in violent and deadly ways.

Seeking relief, DeAnna contacts paranormal groups, the local Catholic Church, and the Dead Files TV program.  Well-known paranormal experts including John Zaffis, Shaman Michael Robishaw, Chris Nicoletti, and others investigate the home. All advise DeAnna to leave immediately. Unfortunately, the ancient spirit refuses to allow DeAnna the opportunity to leave.  The ancient spirit that controls the house and keeps the other spirits prisoner feeds off her and Tom.  Every effort DeAnna makes to leave is thwarted by the ancient spirit.  Now she and Tom are gravely ill and continue to suffer for years before the climactic conclusion.

Joni Mayhan, the author and publisher, masterfully tells the story of DeAnna and her home.

Characters are carefully developed, her research into paranormal investigations is thorough and clearly relayed.  The plot and storyline flow smoothly, a few twists, and a satisfying conclusion.

The narrator, Kerr Lordygan, narrated the book in a soothing tone with just the right amount of. Inflection to keep the listener engaged.  I found Lordygan’s voice soothing and smooth.  His narration was flawless.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook.

But the narrator

This book was so hard to get through. The narrator is horrible & inconsistent. Great story… but the narrator made it so difficult to finish.
