Fascinating audiction!

Following a previous disappointing listen, I was excited to start Adele Parks' "Lies, Lies, Lies." Narration by Rachel Bavich and Sam Woolf is exactly as it should be: pitch-perfect. Long-held secrets are brought to the surface as Parks interweaves a married couple's intricate marriage, combined with longtime friends surrounding them. Jaw-dropping shockers I never saw coming made for this devious thriller. Highly recommended and worth a treasured Audible credit. I lucked out and grabbed this for $6.99. Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC! An awesome thank you to this talented trio. May we have more please?

I almost returned this but around the halfway point it really picked up and I couldn't stop listening.

Character development

Great story with depth in each aspect of it. Loved the fact that each character had their own story.

Interesting…

I personally liked the book however the last 2 minutes ruined it for me. What a bizarre ending..I wish they stopped before she finally “confessed”

I almost didn’t finish the book!

I have a difficult time connecting with Daisy because she was in so many toxic relationships/friendships. I kept waiting for her to stand up for herself. I’m happy I powered through & enjoyed the ending

Quite Entertaining

I think Adele Parks is improving with each book. “Just My Luck,” is her latest, and the best of the three I have listened to. This one, “Lies, Lies, Lies,” is in the middle; with “I invited Her In,” being my first. In each novel, she creates dramatic conflict situations which effectively hook my interest; characters are fully developed and dialogue flows naturally. My only criticism is the frequent, and often long-winded, maudlin reflection that this author’s characters indulge in. Granted that such revery is natural when a parent fears for their child, but Ms. Parks can be heavy handed with such sentiment. I find it discordantly syrupy in her otherwise sharply edged novels. The good news is that she seems to wander into this territory less and less with each novel. “Lies, Lies, Lies” has an exquisitely depraved sociopath, portrayed with perfection by Rachel Bavidge.
