Really good twists

Thoroughly enjoyed the narrator, character building and overall story. It wasn’t overly predictable (coming from someone who ALWAYS sees it coming) and I really enjoyed the ending and strong pro-feminist undertones throughout. Refreshingly, there were no vivid descriptions of domestic violence or sadistic torture. This book was written by a woman who loves, believes in, and celebrates other women.

Interesting twist

When it first started I thought I was in for the classic gas lighting story. But then it takes a turn and it becomes even more interesting. Then a twist that I did not see coming. Enjoy it very much

I really enjoyed this book

I really enjoyed this book. I was not sure if I would like it or not, but I loved all the twists and turns, especially in the ending and the narration was very good.

Kept twisting in a good way

Oh man this was a non stop listener for me I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The way all the loose ends tied together in the end was just amazing and so satisfying. Every character had and ending no loose ends here !

Captivating

Oh my gosh, it made me so uncomfortable at times. I hated what was happening to Emma. She was literally losing her mind with how Betsy and Matthew were gaslighting her. So powerful and gripping.

Be Patient - The Ending is Worth it !

Wow! I gave the story 4 stars because the beginning was so boring that I increased the voice speed to get on with it. Then toward the middle of the book it got so interesting that I went back to normal speed. I could never have guessed the ending. I think this is one of the best plot twists that I've heard and I've listened to hundreds of books. The narrator was phenomenal!
