Publisher's summary

Nate Temple has holes in his soul, both imagined and real....

And the only way to patch his soul back together is to go back to where it all began. To where he began. To where a Manling was born....

To a dangerous boy named Wylde.

Because to have any hope at standing against Mordred - to save Camelot and St. Louis alike - he must learn what it means to be a Catalyst.

A little boy must know his legend - his origin. And he must learn the painful truth that his entire life has been meticulously planned and laid out like the steps to a choreographed dance. And that Mordred is just another dance card in a long line of future suitors at the Temple Ball.

If Nate can survive the dance, that is....

Let’s discover what dangers a little boy can get into when his imagination is more real than reality itself....

When the powers of life and death can be heard in the absent humming of a little boy playing in the woods with his cat....

Because behind every Song is a Mask waiting to be born.

Or destroyed....

Dang, I am So hooked!!

Found this series as a suggestion from another reader and just went crazy for it. Finally got my wife to listen to this one with me (after I was half done and had to restart). Now she is interested in the rest too. Great writing, excellent characters and I didn’t even have to hunt the author down by the end. The Nate is happy with these.

Wow

Reading this book brought us new faces and both happiness and sadness in some ways. If you are a fan then you will have seen some of these things before. But I am happy to have seen certain things revealed. I can’t wait for the next adventure to come. 2 thumbs up in my view.

Too short of a book

It's was not enough Temple ass kicking and twists and turns! The story is like literary cocaine that keeps ypu hooked and ignoring the world around you. 10 stars!

same story, so e new answers

yet again Nate is doing stupid stuff and freezing at the worst times for internal dialog that costs his friends - a lot. I'm so glad someone called him out on his whining but it didn't seem to really correct it. so yeah, I could have skipped this one.

This is great

It is a wonderful story already. To hear it brings a new perspective on things as you compare what you read and how you hear it. Joel Richards is great

Fantastic

So much to unpack from this story. Deceit, heart break, loyalty, death, destruction and rebuilding. Such a fantastic addition to the Nate Temple series.

I’ll come back and edit this later

I’m early on but, come!!! on!!! this is clearly someone that doesn’t understand combat. The teenage boy beats the crap out of basically all of world histories greatest warriors at the same time. As he teaches them about wisdom and honor. May as well add Gangis Khan and Jet Li to the mix. 3 months of training easily beats thousands of years of battle hardened experience every time. come on. smh try to add at least a tiny amount of believability. Maybe Shayne should run up to the UFC gym after a week of grappling training and hop in with the pros. Find out really quick how far from reality that is. I can buy wizards monsters, skeleton storks absolutely no problem. But a Child will not be in league with true warriors without years and years of grueling training. I know how silly it is but when you know how large the gap is between beginners and pros. Things like that are just insulting. I know the point is the kid is better than he should be but still

great

Love the action and historical times. some of the background information skipped around a bit, made some of the references to earlier series a little harder to follow. great performance overall
