Publisher's Summary

Two old dudes want to kill me. Oh, and one of them is my ancestor....

And after centuries of practice, they’re pretty good at the whole murder thing. But at least they want to kill each other just as badly.

Now, I’ve taken down a Greek goddess, worn a Horseman’s mask, and I ride a homicidal unicorn who hates rainbows with a passion. Some might say sending two senior citizens to a permanent retirement home should be a breeze.

It ain’t.

Because that’s not my biggest concern. One of my friends is in danger, or possibly dying, and I need to get her back before her fiancé kills me. But finding her introduces me to new worlds of pain. The biggest of these being my own past - which has been a blatant lie - and a parting gift from my parents - which might have just been the coin toss for the Apocalypse Olympics.

I’m beginning to realize that none of the old gods, legends, or monsters have been idle the last few centuries. They’ve been waiting, picking sides, and scheming schemes.

Of course, maybe one of those two old dudes will punch my ticket and save me the headache. A wizard can hope, right? Because either way, I’m about to have a very bad series of days....

If you like Jim Butcher, Kevin Hearne, Ilona Andrews, Linsey Hall, McKenzie Hunter, or Ella Summers, you will love the eighth installment of the Temple Chronicles.

What a ride!

The hits just keep coming for Nate Temple. A few short years ago, he was a simple millionaire with wizarding powers, and now....wow!

Shayne Silvers books keep getting more entertaining . He has created such a broad world with his words that I can honestly say, I am never bored, and the narrator brings the world to life

Amazingly Imaginative

As with all of Shayne Silver's books, it did not disappoint. The characters and plot keep you craving more. Also, the narrator does an exceptional job bringing the words to life.

I'm never surprised

As usual, Shayne delivers humor, intrigue, and adventure all wrapped up nicely with a black bow. His characters are evolving spectacularly, as is the story of Nate Temple. I've yet to run into plot holes, happy that I don't have to wonder what happened to this or that. Despite having two characters from different series interacting, I don't have to worry about whether I'm up-to-date on the other series because he places Callie into the book beautifully, not ruining Nate's story or her own.
Shayne, bravo!! Hurry and release book 9 (and the audible)!! I can't wait to see where Nate and his band of merry freaks ends up next!!

Another excellent audiobook, can't wait for next

This book starts off a little while after the end of the previous book and does an admirable job cleaning up the Loose Ends and starts building on the material from the rest of the series. the stakes seem to be getting higher but it does not stop Nate and his gang from their usual hijinx and humor. The addition of a few new key characters will certainly spice up the next book, which I hope to see up here very soon...
