Known Worked for Me
My name is Faith McKinney and I just finished listening to your podcast interview with Michael Stelzner.
It was wonderful! I have spent 20 years of my life answering the question you posed: Can anyone become known.
I wanted to prove that no matter who you are, where you come from, how much money you have or whether
you are an expert or not. The answer is yes!
I needed to prove and overcome objections of every kind:
I am African- American
My skin color is not light
I am very shy and introverted
I am a woman
I work as a janitor
I live in the hood
I am not a college graduate
I am short 5’2”
I am overweight
I don’t have long hair
I have been married 3 times
I have filed bankruptcy twice
I don’t have money
I was an average student
I have a special needs child
I work full time
I don’t have a lot of time or resources to travel
Over the years I tried to figure out my platform but I also knew that I had to do something
Great and remarkable that would make a dent in the universe.
I donated my kidney.
I thought this would be the platform that I could use but it wasn’t.
I am known for networking and connecting people.
I now produce a television show, host a podcast, speak, lead seminars and interview
Celebrities.
Until today I didn’t know that KNOWN was a real thing!
Getting known has made my life so much more fun and profitable.

Must read for personal branding
I met Mark Schaefer at the Social Media Marketing World conference in San Diego and loved his speach so much I decided to buy and read this book. I was not disappointed. The book gives actionable advice for anyone in content marketing (blogging, youtube, podcasting etc.) who is interested in expanding their reach and becoming known in their field. This is seriously exactly what I needed
All I can say is wow! The content is exactly what I need right now as I'm struggling to gain clarity on my message and branding and next steps after a successful TEDx - this is a legit read and I highly recommend it to anyone in a similar situation of wondering which path to go next

Become the authority in your niche
I love how Mark takes a research based approach to becoming known. In a world where lesser gurus are touting hustle this was a refreshing take on what it really takes to succeed today. This book is very well performed by the author himself and it provides a great overview of everything you need to become a KNOWN authority in any niche. filed with inspiration and actionable step by step advice for making a living in today's time.

Be the drop that completes the ocean!
I had seem Mr. Schaefer on a pod cast that I follow called "Bella in Your Business" and he mentioned this book so I decided to listen to what he had to say. Lots of great ideas regardless of where you are on your path of becoming known. I was amazed at all of the different options you can choose to become known. Be sure you listen all the way to the end. It is worth your time to listen and relisten to this book and refer back to different chapters as you grow in you process of becoming known.

So good I just listened to it twice!
This book is spot on. Every chapter, every exercise. You can't get "known" without putting in the work. I loved the stories and the everyday people who put in the effort to become known leaders in their industries. I am going to be sending a copy of this book to all of my clients and friends. Informative and interesting with actual takeaways
Mark weaves real stories through actionable steps. There is no fluff in this book but you will not feel lectured at either. It's clear the depth of research that went on and the care to present that research so you will come away with the why, what and how.
