Good story…strange narration.
Great story but the narrator put a weird inflection on some of her phrases. I’m excited to hear more about the other characters in more of her books.

Sigh
I just found Beverly Barton and have fallen in love with her work. I'm only on chapter 5, but this narrator is driving me crazy. Her inflections, emphasizing and overall narration is driving me nuts, but I keep listening because I'm interested in the story (especially since it is about one of the continuous characters from previous stories). I can usually get past a questionable narrator, but she makes me grind my teeth.

Enjoyed but like the other books in this series better
I enjoyed this book but I enjoyed the other books in the series more. I did like the ending it really did keep me guessing and had a great twist at the end.

Not my favorite narrator... sometimes the emphasis is really in the wrong place. or imho, just doesn't make sense.
I also get really tired of everyone being referred to by complete first & last names. legit the book could be an hour shorter it it wasn't always Quinn Cortez and Annabel Vanderlay.
I (mostly) enjoyed the ("free") Cherokee Point books... but not sure I'll spend more credits on this series.

I always love Beverly’s books. That said, the narrator was awful. Half of the time people sounded like valley girls and it was hard to follow story since it was annoying to listen to.

On story, terrible performance
I do not like this narrator. She detracted from the story and character development. Her tone and attitude was often off from the tone of the story. The story was fine, although early on there were too many characters to try to keep straight!
