Publisher's summary

Cameron Boxer is very happy to spend his life avoiding homework, hanging out with his friends, and gaming for hours in his basement. It's not too hard for him to get away with it...until he gets so caught up in one game that he almost lets his house burn down around him.

Oops.

It's time for some serious damage control - so Cameron and his friends invent a fake school club that will make it seem like they're doing good deeds instead of slacking off. The problem? Some kids think the club is real - and Cameron is stuck being president.

Soon, Cameron is part of a mission to save a beaver named Elvis from certain extinction. Along the way, he makes some new friends - and some powerful new enemies. The guy who never cared about anything is now at the center of everything...and it's going to take all his slacker skills to win this round.

Confessions of a dad listener!

Ok. So I started downloading these Gordon Korman books for my kids in road trips. We had read "Schooled" as a family. That was enough to hook me. Maybe it's the delicate combination of flashbacks to middle school mixed with well written descriptive and emotional monologue that did it. In any case, if you're a parent, you'll be just as hooked as your kids!!

Great book

My mom bought this book for me to listen to at bedtime and I fell in love with it. I listen to this book (Slacker) every night when going to bed and working on my activity book. It is so good that I think that Gordan Korman should write more books of this kind.

Gordon Korman Couldn't Have Done Better

It was a fun book with lots of twists to the story. If Gordon Korman keeps writing like this he might become the best kids book Author.

Pretty Good

Not my favorite Gordon Korman book, but pretty good. I think that the author definitely improves his writing with every book, so I prefer his newer books. However, I would still recommend this my students.

One of my favorites

I love this book so much. Since someone who is a slacker creates a club that does good things, when it was fake. Then someone makes it real. Cam's sister turns out to be sabotaging Cam's life.

What I like about this book and whom I recommend slacker to

I liked what the theme was because I am kinda like cam.

I would recommend this book to 7-12 because it has some big words that younger kids might not understand I am 11 and I didn't understand some words 8)
