A new twist on keto: The fat-burning power of ketogenic eating meets the clean green benefits of a plant-centric plate

The keto craze is just getting warmed up. The ketogenic diet kick-starts your body's metabolism so it burns fat, instead of sugar, as its primary fuel. But most ketogenic plans are meat- and dairy-heavy, creating a host of other problems, especially for those who prefer plants at the center of the plate. Dr. Will Cole comes to the rescue with Ketotarian, which has all the fat-burning benefits without the antibiotics and hormones that are packed into most keto diets.

First developed for individuals suffering from seizures, keto diets have been shown to reduce inflammation and lower the risk of many chronic health problems including Alzheimer's and some cancers. Adding a plant-based twist, Ketotarian includes more than 75 recipes that are vegetarian, vegan, or pescatarian, offering a range of delicious and healthy choices for achieving weight loss, renewed health, robust energy, and better brain function.

Packed with expert tips, tricks, and advice for going - and staying - Ketotarian, including managing macronutrients, balancing electrolytes, and finding your carb sweet spot, this best-of-both-worlds program is a game-changer for anyone who wants to tame inflammation and achieve peak physical and mental performance. Let the Ketotarian revolution begin!

Another win for health and longevity

I freaking loved this book and I'm not even vegan or vegetarian. I love how Dr Will Cole did a great job speaking to all of us while laying a solid foundation for vegans and vegetarians to pursue a ketogenic lifestyle.

Like I said, I'm not vegan or vegetarian but he did a great job pointing out gaps that I am missing in my strict keto lifestyle while providing real food examples on how to step my nourishment game up.

He is a functional doctor that has taken his own personal journal coupled with his clinical research to provide a guide to those seeking health, longevity and a healthy relationship with food. Hell yeah I recommend this book.

Love this book!

After reading the Plant Paradox and Genius Foods, Dr. Will puts it all together with Ketotarian. Thank you Dr. Cole for sharing your knowledge and experience! I am currently adopting the Ketotarian lifestyle and look forward to my results (blood test, body fat content, and overall weight) in the next few months.

Interesting information

The information in this is interesting. I appreciate science being integrated with nutrition. I will say the narrator's voice was hard to listen to, kind of high pitched. Also, I wish the available PDF had more pages. There were some adaptogens that I had no idea how to spell to look into further, but had trouble looking up because after the intro to that section it jumps to recipes so I couldn't find a list of them. I feel like this is probably better in physical form than on audible.

Interesting theory but poor scientific evidence

He insults whole food plant based diet enthusiasts by assuming they are a homogeneous group of carbohydrate loading bread heads. He offers no evidence to back up statements demonizing lectins or that ketosis is the natural state of the human body. This offers the informed reader the conclusion that this ketotarian diet is no more than another passing fad.
