Publisher's summary

My husband traded me away to save his own life...and now I belong to the devil.

One night and everything in my life changed. Two words and my world turned dark: "Take her."

Owing the most ruthless crime lord in Garden City five million dollars, my husband chose to trade me and my children away to save himself.

I was on the cusp of freedom, so close to divorcing that scumbag I was married to. Now I'm enslaved to a man who is obsessed with me. A man so wicked and beautiful they call him Lucifer.

So alluring, he makes the angels weep with envy. He's so powerful, I can't stop myself from bending to his will.

He's determined to master me, and he won't rest until I give him all.

He wants my light, and he wants my dark.

He wants my body, and he wants my heart.

But most of all, he wants the one thing I can't give him. The one thing I can't bear to part with....

My soul.

Too much

There is no relationship between the two main characters. He takes her, she shops, and happily ever after. No intimacy or even conversations. I think these authors are in the wrong genre. Stick with the crime drama and leave the relationship part out. Besides revenge and brutality there is no emotion. Besides sex there is absolutely no conversation between the two. The narration was good but I would skip this one.

Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

This Audio with hot hot hot! Total possessive alpha male with no excuses and no explanations needed. To top it off Blake Richard has one of the deepest, sexiest voices I have discovered in awhile. I have already bought three more of his audio’s just from his voice alone. This story is a very quick listen. It’s entertaining, emotional, exciting, and the sex is off the charts. Both narrators did a fantastic job and I cannot wait to listen to the next Audio in the series. If you don’t mind ultra possessiveness with some graphic, revenge based violence, then this is the perfect audio for you.

Wow!

So I have had this book on my Audible shelf for about a year (yeah I have a nasty habit of buying audible books and not listening to them). Any who, I finally broke down and listened to this whole driving for work and I am so ticked at myself for not listening sooner. Holy dirty book Batman! I can typically listen to books and not have them affect me, but this book, nope I was ready to pull the car over and take care of business. The narrator's were perfect! At first I didn't like Blake Richard's voice but he grew on me quickly. Just be forewarned, you might lose some panties over his voice. Stock up now!

Meh.

I don't really give bad reviews, but I was very disappointed in the story. the characters were somewhat flat and too ridged. the emotions felt false and too quick. Maybe if the book was longer the development would have been better, but I kept waiting for the story to get good till I just wanted it to end. The epilogue was the best part since you got the feeling of growth from the two and not the hurried pace from the book. Overall I give the book a 4 star rating for the narrators they carried the book for me. I'm sorry but I have to give the story a 3. It just could have been so much better with all the potential it had.

Listened too so many times!!

I love this story and have it in Kindle and paperback, so I knew I would get it in audible version. the narration of the book is so wonderful and it follows so well. Lucifer's voice is so amazing and I really enjoy Lilys also.

The narrator’s voice is pure sex!

Blake Richard has a voice that was meant for sex. He makes this book hotter than it already is. This was a fun listen but be warned it is hot!

Liquid s*x in my ears

This was just what I needed. A tough bada** alpha male. Some blood and gore. And a lot of hot steamy sex.
The male narrator was like hot liquid s*x in my ears and it was brilliant.
I swapped between reading and listening and both the reading and listening was enjoyable.

Not Real at all

Don't get me wrong I love Indecent Proposal as much the next person, but this was a little too much. A no good husband gives over his wife and children permanently due to a 5 million dollar debt. First of all her she should of been left her no good husband.....after years of his affairs and never being home the day she decides to leave him is when his loan officer comes to collect. Turns out after seeing one picture of Lily Matt wants to keep Lily and her kids forever. He is a really twisted Mob Boss. I liked the story but I just couldn't really believe the plotline. The narrators was excellent, especially Blake.

Way too stupid

If you like books were a man can just take a woman and her children and say they he his. Whether she wants it or not she has to do it. And she eventually goes along with this. It is unreal. Along with letting her watch killings and torture that's no kind of hero that's a sick man to me. Let's just say this book was a big disappointment and the author really should do a little bit of more thinking before she writes your next book.

Meh...

The female narrator ruined it. She made Lucifer sound like a grandma bribing children to eat their oatmeal when he was seducing Lilly. The story was predictable but it passed the time and was interesting enough to finish.

Meh, ok story but not really my cup of tea

I quite like gritty story lines but this wasn’t for me. Lucifer didn’t appear to have any redeeming qualities at all, a thoroughly unpleasant guy. Lily lacked something, not sure what was missing but she just seemed a bit uninspiring and lacking much real input into the story. Their relationship went from I hate you to I love you almost overnight, despite the lack of almost any pleasant qualities.
I found both performances hard to listen to, Lucifer felt as though he had one emotion throughout, words were almost growled and he never really loosened up. Lily was a little better but still didn’t bring the story to life for me.
I did listen to the end but not that enjoyable for me and not one I’d be tempted to recommend.

Absolutely fantastic

Wow. Such a powerful book. I wish there was more stars. It’s written so very well. Excellent storyline and characters. Fantastic narration from both narrators.

She wanted to be kept!

Where does Keeping Lily rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It would be in the top 10 audios that I have listened to so far.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lucifer because there was so many sides to him, yes he was dark but there was also this light side to him when it came to protecting Lily and the children. I don't think he was as bad of a guy as he wanted to make out.

What does Blake Richard and Beth Roeg bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I read the book before I listened to it, because I listen to audios while driving I want to kind of know what to expect as I am a very active reader/listener so that way I don't get too excited. Blake and Beth bring a different voice to what I imagined the characters would of sounded like, after listening to it I couldn't imagine them sounding any other way.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It may be dark, but there is light in the darkest of evil
