Jacob Morgan’s voice ❤️

Jacob Morgan could have done the entire narration. Lauren Sweet was irritating. I would actually cringe every time I heard her voice. She’s nasally and sing songie if that makes sense. I don’t know if I can listen to another book when she is involved

Perfection!

This story draws you in right from the beginning, the sweet and proper Abigail locking eyes a irresistible prison inmate. The intrigue only goes up from there, weaving a heartbreaking tale of how Greyson ended up there. Action, forbidden steamy romance, mystery-it's all there. The performances on both parts are spot on, Lauren Sweet excellent as usual and Jacob Morgan...*swoon*. Did you think you could ever fall in love with a prisoner?.... because after Jacob's performance please sign me up! One of the best books i've heard in a while. Highly recommend!

Great Story!

This is a great story! If some dark subjects, & questionable sexual consent aren't your thing, then skip this one, cause you won't like it if that's the case... however, if you can handle reading about fictional characters with deep seeded hurts & questionable actions, then you'll love this book. I love to hear Jacob Morgan(Zachary Webber's) narrating. I would listen to him recite the yellow pages! Not only is his voice sexy, but his range of voicing characters always always blows me away, he's a phenomenal narrator! Lauren Sweet was perfect for Abby too! Great job!

What a RIDE!!

WOW!! WOW!!! WOW!! What an amazing, twisted, exciting, loving adventure. Incredible chemistry, characters that are so real, and an incredible love. Don’t miss this one, seriously. It’s a read like no other.

Dark Raw Beautiful

I will admit that at first that I was leery about how dark the story was. However, it quickly pulled me in and didn't let me go. I felt every emotion and was not wanting it to end. The narration was everything and made it even more special. I will be purchasing more from this Author.

Edgy, Powerful, and Intoxicating!

This book had me on the edge of my seat from the very start. It was raw, gritty, sensual and suspenseful. Warren and Martin made a great team as they expertly weaved a dark, seductive tale about very flawed and damaged characters making us feel heartbreak, horror, confusion, and yet compassion, empathy, and so much more. The journey that Grayson and Abbie take and the conflicting emotions that they both feel make them more connected and stronger. Abbie is smart, resilient and courageous. She fights her feelings for Grayson and is determined to be free. But after unwittingly helping sexy bad boy Grayson escape from prison, he is not willing to let her go so easily. This dark, forbidden romance is gritty, and seductive and it was made even more powerful and raw by the expert narration by Jacob Morgan, and Lauren Sweet. I was reeling by all the emotions they made me feel as they took me on this twisty, thrilling journey. Their range from the tender moments to the distressing had my heartpounding. I was totally lost in their storytelling as they made this story even more edgy, powerful, and intoxicating!

Jacob Morgan is perfection … as always

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the female narrator, Jacob could’ve read the whole book and it would been perfect. Exciting and sexy story, I listened to the whole thing in a weekend

Almost stopped at Chapter 3…

I plan to update my review once I’ve finished the book but I won’t lie that I almost stopped reading it at Chapter 3. First off, Audible needs to fix the issue where the recording of the chapter (at least on my version of the download) is duplicated and secondly, the concept of Greyson not knowing what baseball is/the position of “point-guard”…that was a stretch…a S-T-R-E-T-C-H. As well as, using that as his “give” for the lie/fake story was pretty weak and I think conceptually that little segment was written very poorly. Greyson claimed to impersonate being an art appraiser (or something to the effect) in the same section, but he doesn’t know point-guards are a basketball position? Not buying it. Give the poor guy a better lie than that, sheesh. Apologies, rant over. I really like both of the authors so that surprised me; rest of the book so far has been pretty great!

Prison break with romance

Out story starts with Abby teaching a class an English class at a prison for her collage project. Sparks fly between Grayson ( an inmate) and Abby. Abby is then captured and taken prisoner by Grayson during his prison break. We learn the reason that Grayson was in prison and that he has tragic background, just like Abby. Grayson then embarks on a revenge mission and takes Abby along for the ride. This story is somewhat dark but does have a HEA. The book had duel narration which I love, because you get 2 POV with this story line. I enjoyed Jacob more than Lauren- she was a little too dramatic for my tastes but overall still a good performance. #Audio Obsession Reviewer
