Such an awesome story!

This long awaited audiobook by the wonderful Carian Cole is the story of Tyler, a reclusive and damaged young man who lives in a cabin in a deeply wooded area. When out walking one day he hears a sound and finds a girl in a hole underground covered by a door. After rescuing her and dealing with her kidnapper, she goes to a psychiatric facility for two years. The story is complex and twists around, keeping your attention rapt. When she meets him again, they are both drawn to one another despite their trust issues. Can two horribly damaged people come together and save each other? Great narration as well!

This book destroyed me

What an amazing, soul wrenching, touching, moving, devastating story! THIS is the type of book that will stay with you and haunt you for years! I’m still crying. Perfectly written and perfectly read.

A little dissapointed

I would have lime so to some closure. Maybe seeing some healing with families. by other wise it was a good story

Heartbreak turns into beauty!!

This story turned out to be amazingly beautiful! The narrator's were completely perfect! Their emotion makes you feel like you're right there with them feeling it all together!

With each book I fall in love with this author more and more, this was a beautiful and touching story with two strong characters.

Loved Holly and Ty!! their story was heart wrenching, but were destined. They suffered and on the road to recovering what they lost.

I listened to the entire series with a week I laughed, cried, got angry, got nervous and laughed all over again. Ms. Cole did a superb job describing every character, all the emotions the characters were feeling. it was an amazing series!

Review after a long overdue re-read. Carrian Cole is one of those authors that I fall more in love with after every book she writes. Tyler and Holly’s story will always be a favorite. They are both damaged in different ways (Holly due to an abduction as a child that lastest 11 yrs and Ty was scarred by a fire that lead him down a path of self destruction, even more physical scars and self-imposed isolation from everyone) Tyler was the one who found her and actually saved her, killing her abductor. Two years pass before they see each other again. Slowly open to each other, they become one another’s best friends and their relationship begins to evolve into so much more. This is an ultimate redemption story for them both and their bond is incredible. His grand gesture is one of the sweetest, most favorite things I've read. And their bonus scene/epilogue is perfection. They lived a life I couldn’t have imagined any better. I love them.

Heartbreaking perfection!

This is my first series from this author and I'm impressed. How she captured the heartbreaking pain of characters that are broken is beautiful and tragic. wish there was more to the series but am looking forward to reading more..
