Contains volumes 1–4 of Isekai Assassin, a fast-paced story set in a Gamelit dark fantasy world written by the bestselling author of the Wyvern Academy series.

Isekai Assassin: Volume 1

Assassins don't retire; they reincarnate.

For nearly all of my life, I trained to become a master assassin, but at the height of my career, it all fell apart. I was betrayed, ambushed, and left bleeding out on the streets of London. Just before my death, though, I was offered a choice: Stay and let my life come to a swift and brutal end, or become the personal assassin of a god in another world. It wasn't a hard decision.

But this new world isn't like the one I left. It operates by a completely different set of rules and a strange system that I don't understand. I'm going to have to learn fast if I hope to survive in this land of myth and magic. All of my skills, and several new ones, will be put to the test as I receive my first contract. And new world or not, they have no idea who they're up against.

Isekai Assassin: Volume 2

It takes a sinner to kill a saint.

Count Vohra is dead, and with his city almost completely under my control, I can finally start building the foundations for the new underworld. But before I can begin, there's a particularly nasty thorn in my side that I have to deal with first.

The leader of the assassin guild, Crescent Thorn, wants to meet me, and I doubt talking is on his mind. And as if that wasn't enough, Weilin has another contract for me, one I can't refuse.

He wants me to assassinate a high priest.

Isekai Assassin: Volume 3

Anyone determined enough can ruin a city. The only question is: do I have what it takes to rule one?

After Crescent Thorn's failed attack on Blackfall Manor, things are finally calm enough to turn my attention back to Vohra and rebuild the underworld.

But there are no shortage of fires to put out; enough problems both near and far that my fledgling empire might be in trouble before it begins.

The one person who can hope to stem the tide is also my single biggest threat in this world.

Jasper Ildan, the Jackal of Vohra, is the devil I don't know, but when my back's against the wall, even I'll consider making a deal.

Isekai Assassin: Volume 4

Soldiers may win wars, but assassins topple kingdoms.

War is on the horizon, and soldiers are bearing down on Vohra. Queen Joslyn means to take back the city, but her reach has far exceeded her grasp, and if she thinks I'm just going to sit back and let her dismantle everything I've built, she'll be sorely disappointed.

Joslyn has no idea whom she's picked a fight with.

But I aim to fix that.

Though getting to a queen is no easy feat, and I'm going to need to call in some favors if I hope to infiltrate her city, let alone the palace. There are favors to call in and debts to collect. A lot needs to be done before heading to Joslyn.

Good thing everyone needs a talented assassin.

I really enjoyed the overall landscape and thoughts of the world and series. I listened to all the books and the MC never grew from the 1st book. In the 1st book he made changes and it was cool. But as the series continues it wasn’t much growth. The lack of a main villain/ rival also stood out to me. Was this supposed to be a love story with some assassins? Alice truthfully was just an irritating character. And his rules were a complete contradiction. He is ok killing guards who might be good people because they choose to be guards or adventurers? Book wont kill a cool that’s a nice guy? But id like to finish with I love assassins books and if you like assassins this is a series you’d enjoy even with the flaws. It was still worth the listen.

Like not love
