The hero was irritating to say the least.

This book had both good and bad parts. Most was good but the hero was pretty stupid. He constantly didn’t do things, left items behind, said stupid things, didn’t learn until repeatedly failed before the lesson was picked up, he didn’t pick up on the pattern of thought which was clear to everyone but him, and he couldn’t read the room at all. This could have been much better with a better hero. You couldn’t explain away his stupidity due to his coming from another world. His was just that stupid. It made the book hard to read. I found I was yelling at the hero during the audio book playing because I couldn’t believe he was that stupid. If you read this be prepared.

book 3 killed me

his inability to use abilities he's used consistently earlier in the series pisses me off. but that's a book 3 issue.

I absolutely love this series so much and I am so glad there is a bundle for the audio!

Fun

I really enjoyed this one. Jason crafted an amazing world and Richard and Raya really brought it to life.

What a terrible MC

MC makes dumb decision after dumb decision. The world is cool, the supporting characters are alright. the MC? I genuinely lack the vocabulary to properly voice my contempt and disgust at him. Let's just not use our acquired abilities. Let's not realize an obvious parting that leads to stupidity. Let's not train the women we encourage to be bullheaded and prideful so they aren't useless when they decide to 'help.' Yeah, I want my credit back.
