Publisher's Summary

Everyone knows my face. No one knows the real me.

All people see when they look at me is a beautiful man, a supermodel, half of the world’s most famous twins. No one sees the man underneath.

When I return to Forestville, the small town I grew up in, for my high school reunion, I impulsively decide to stay.

I’m now the proud owner of a house, an absolute fixer-upper. Never mind that I have two left hands.

Thank god for Cas, the local contractor, who agrees to help me out. We come from completely different worlds and are almost 20 years apart, yet we somehow connect.

Cas sees me, the real me.

We hook up.…
Then become friends….
With benefits (courtesy of a snow storm)....
And a fake relationship (long story)....

But when fake becomes real and pretending turns into feelings I can’t deny, I’m left wondering if what we have stands a chance.

Renovating the Model is the first book in the new Forestville Silver Foxes series, a contemporary small-town MM romance series featuring hot silver foxes and the men who fall in love with them. Each book can be listened to as a standalone.

Loved this story.

I really enjoyed this story. I haven’t read/listened to many books from Nora Phoenix, but I will be getting the rest of this series when it’s available and definitely checking out the rest of her audiobooks.

Enjoyed the story, but...

Being that I am a huge fan of Nora Phoenix, I hate to even give a review that is anything less than stellar for her work, but its about the narration, not her writing. That said, let me first say that I really enjoyed this story! So much so that I will definitely be listening to the rest of the series when it comes out on audio. The only criticism I have is with Michael Dean's pronunciation of both the Portuguese words and one of the names. Let me first say I am definitely a big fan of his so this pains me to write as well, but the combination of Nora's common use of uncommon names with Michael Dean not pronouncing one of them correctly was like nails on a chalkboard for me. It didn't ruin the listen for me, but it was SUCH a distraction that I literally paused the book to look up the name he was saying in the kindle version, and then Googled the Portuguese pronunciation of the name Tomaś because he kept pronouncing it like "Toe-mah-sh" or "Tomaaash". And, he didn't even do it consistently. It was more like 75% of the time he pronounced it Tomaaash, and the other 25% of the time he correctly said Tomaś. I know this probably sounds nitpicky, but I'd like to think that if there's a name you'll be saying over and over again, you're going to either strive to say it correctly or at least consistently say it incorrectly. Other than that, their story was so sweet and I loooooved how the whole town came together to support them. Story gets a 4, narration gets a 2.5/3. *ducking head to avoid the tomatoes being thrown at me lol*

Model love

Another hit from Nora Phoenix!
I loved that both MCs were flawed in ways that were seen and unseen. They start out just wanting a hook up but each finds their feelings have changed.
The supporting characters provide interest and humor. Michael Dean provides the narration and does an outstanding job.
This book is well worth the credit.
