If you loved this, listen to Unbreak Me by Jesse H Reign. Her hockey books are pretty bland but this book is a great example of the good stuff she writes! Also highly recommend Triple Trouble and the Daddy Arrangement for more kinky and soulful stories!

This is a Michael Dean narration and it does not disappoint! You can never go wrong with Michael Dean listening in my humble opinion. This is Jesse Reign at her finest. This is a beautiful make you cry story about love and healing delivered by a master of the craft. Listen and grab your tissues.

I kid you not when I say, not one time did I hit that pause button or stop reading along with my kindle. This story was all-consuming and I loved every minute of it!!

My Heart

You know what's going to happen but the story and narration hold on to you so tight you almost forget. I fell in love with them and my heart broke with them, and this is the first book I've ever felt all my pieces being glued back together.

Not bad, but not great

This started really strong, it had an air of mystery and didn’t give many details about the characters and I enjoyed learning about them. However, after the MC’s get together it’s a good 5+ chapters of just 🌶️. After the first two I just started skipping through because literally nothing else was happening, no progression of the story. I had to have skipped through 2 hours and didn’t lose any of the plot. Which was a bit excessive.
Then finally the last 3 chapters we get the twist, which wasn’t one I was expecting but a great twist. and a sweet HEA.
The reason I knocked it down a few stars wasn’t only because of the 5+ chapter pause for all 🌶️. But because this book could have been cut in half if there wasn’t 3 metaphors for every detail every single time. It became so frustrating to hear a detail be over exaggerated multiple times instead of getting to the point. There were also a lot of repeating lines to drag out a scene. It became so annoying I almost DNF but wanted to find out the twist, which did ent up being worth it.
Overall 3 stars.
