It's only 30 minutes, and it's free.

This book is like one segment of How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie... but it's still worth a listen because Repetition builds muscle.
And seriously... It'll only take up 15m of your time on 2x. Love ya Chris, keep prospering brother.

Very helpful if you are shy

Basically Only one suggestion but explained in detail. With examples, how to, and why.

Good quick read.

Not exactly groundbreaking

While I appreciate the effort, this is hardly a technique or method for engaging in conversation. I think asking someone’s name or what they do for a living and their hobbies is really table stakes. Was hoping for something more insightful.

Well worth your time!

Don’t hesitate to spend a little time to learn from this. The insights are simple and the impact has been huge in conversation. I recently started a new job and had to meet a ton of new people on the team.

It helped avoid awkward and silent moments.

Waste of a credit

Don’t wast a credit on this book. The best piece of advice he gives is literally quoting another book. If you really want to learn how to talk to people just read the book How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie.

Outdated Pablum

Quick listen that is a complete waste of time. Highly repetitive, sometimes within the same sentence. The advice offered is straight out of the 1970s and 1980s and simply doesn’t work in today’s world. The suggested questions are invasive and intrusive and might get you shunned (at best) or reported to security (at worst). If you want to gain a reputation as being very much like a sleazy used car salesman, give this a listen and follow the “advice” dispensed.

Poor

Extremely poor, unhelpful and completely misses the mark in my opinion.
My suspicions were aroused seeing it was only 33 mins. As it turned out it was 31 mins too long.

Practical tips

Quite a lot packed into a short audio and even if some of the tips are familiar, a good reminder. Key ideas include: focus on being interested rather than interesting, ask questions, find a connection and then go in that direction. The recording includes helpful examples.

Starts bad gets worse

This is the first production I’ve been disappointed with on audible. I cannot adequately articulate how bad this is. It’s terribly written, the repetition is relentless. The presentation sounds off the cuff at best and at points, it sounds as if he’s doing something else important at the same time as trying to hold his ideas together. It is truly terrible.

Basic But Worth It

It’s a short and slightly repetitive audible, but does add some nuggets of value for robots like myself…. Beep Boop 🤖

The Basics

This audio book is a great place to start on the topic but won't be everything you need to (as the title says) talk to anybody, anytime, anywhere.

Ask questions, find a connection, go in that direction.

Also make the other person talk more.

Man the author has problems

He uses the slang "Whacko" which is such an outdated insult it's like from the 1970s. Not to mention it's just a mean spirited descriptor. Also, why does he tell people to talk about insurance? No ones interested in that it's literally one the most boring things you can talk about.

Super basic stuff... Waste of time

This audio book has a very promising title, but the content is super basic. If you're into the self improvement literature this will be a waste of time
