They made her too immature

Love the storyline, enjoyed the narrations, but I have never met an 18 year old that acts like a 10 year old! She had too much information given to her to still act so childish and naive. It took away from the story. Hopefully this changes in the next book.

OMG what a rush

I myself usually don't do a review but this book had captured my mind at 100% had to force myself to stop it to go to bed. but after finishing the book which does leave on a cliffhanger, but OMG it was great, I have listened to over hundreds of books and I have liked a lot, but by buy far this is my favorite of all. the narrator of this book it's not the best one but she's good. and I have never listen to this author but she has become now one of my favorites can't wait till the next book.

I can't get enough of this story!

I've read this 3 book series twice. I love Sampson and Laurel. Sand takes you on an emotional roller coaster. she creates a lot of depth in the characters and the overall story. This is a must read! The audio version really brings the story to life. each chapter is told from either the point of view of Sampson or Laurel. I really liked that there was a woman narrating Laurel"schapters and a man narrating Sampson's chapters.

Started so well….

The last 2 hours of this book are excruciating. The MC just goes back and forth over and over and over again. She becomes this super whiney, wishy-washy, rag-doll of anxiety. And for no purpose I can decipher except to make the book longer. We get it. They are doomed lovers. Instead of rooting for them, at this point, the author has convinced me that they should never be together. MC doesn’t deserve what she is being offered.
It’s very sad because the rest of the story is really good. I’m going to start the next book, but not sure how far I’ll get.

What did I just listen to???

So, let me say that it took 20 chapters to even SLIGHTLY get me interested. It started off as a knock off of Twilight and ended in complete misery.

I only finished this book because I paid for it. But book 2 is totally off the table and book 3 isn't no where in my near future. This book was a waste of my time, money, and energy.
