What's Next?

I enjoyed the tenth book in the "Safe Haven" series. This story related the multiple heartbreaking difficulties that the residents of Safe Haven have to face. The tale was filled with many twists and turns. I enjoyed the character arcs. I appreciated the humor found in the tale. Once the audiobook started, I had to listen until the end as the story was so engrossing. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Kim Bretton's narration was engaging, and her performance drew me into the story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

I wonder if they'll have Pop Tarts...

I absolutely love this series! Most of the longer series that I have read start to feel stale and I often lose interest before the big finale. Not this one! The combination of the Safe Haven and End of Everything series just continues to get better and better!

In book 10, Hope Street, the remaining residents of Safe Haven find themselves trying to find a new place to call home. And, they are doing this without some of their prominent citizens! I really liked the way that the author sets a story in a zombie apocalypse, then throws in tons of emotion and issues that face everyone at one time or another. Even though we aren't living through the zompoc, we can all relate to reaching a breaking point and feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities!

The new characters that were introduced added a lot of great humor (especially Grizz). The dialogue between these people feels so authentic and I found myself laughing a lot, even in the midst of zombie encounters and life or death situations. At this point, I truly feel like I know these characters; they are so much more than just people in a book.

The narrator, Kim Bretton, does her usual amazing job and her voices are absolutely perfect! After listening to so many of these books, I can tell who is talking just by her voices. Perfection!

Now, if Mr. Artinian could just figure out how to supply me with Pop Tarts to eat as I listen to these books.....

Sometimes the good guys win.

We needed this one after the sadness from the last. I’ve been reading this series for so long I feel like I’m part of the community. If you like this genre then this is one of the best in it. If for some reason you’re just reading this review and have not read the two (maybe 3) that combined into this one, I envy you. Go back and start from the two beginnings and the few side stories. You won’t be able to put it down.

eeee... so this author never lets me down, all the twists and turns. And Kim once again did a wonderful job. I can hardly wait for the next book!!

This is book 10, and I am still on the edge of my seat wanting more. I stumbled onto this and its sister series and have listened to each story more than once. The strong character development, fast-paced action, and laugh out loud humor are what I enjoy most. And, the voice acting is simply amazing.
