All tied up in bloody little bows...

When I initially read the description (while anxiously awaiting the next installment of Safe Haven) I had my doubts about the genre shift, while it falls in my list of go-to's, I was curious to see how he he would execute his usual character format. Here, here are these people, they Ate a little nuts, but a family in the end... you love who your are supposed to and detest the bad guys. Next thing you know, he decides to flip that on its head. Overall, ending was perfection and very well executed 🤭

great listen

I have to admit that this is not a genre I frequently listen to, however because I enjoy Chris' other series so much I decided it would be worth the listen... and it definitely was! And the narrator? As with all her other readings Kim is flawless. I thoroughly enjoy listening to her tell this author's stories.

If you like young girls being murdered.

I loved this author and narrator team in Christopher’s Zombie books. The End of everything. If you like the zombie apocalypse genre this team does an awesome job. Get all his Zombie books.However Relentless was too horrific for me. Roasting Teenage boys alive and young girls being eaten alive by rats is alittle to much horror for me. I gave the books a high mark because it was well written, very suspenseful, excellent narrator just not for me. But if you like horror this does get you hooked. I kept listening , after all. But that’s enough gross horror for awhile.maybe ever.

WOW.

Only Christopher Artinian could make me root for the bad guys. And I mean, BAD. Kim Bretton is brilliant as ever. With an audio library of 300+ books, I have two favorite narrators and she’s one of them.

Insane

First book, was very captivating, I really liked that the characters were super human in something outrageous, they were just average joes trying to survive a sick game
The second a third felt more that way though, having one person almost super human, able to do things others couldn’t- which is fine, but I thought it would’ve been similar to the first in that aspect.
Overall it was a good listen, great work!
