"Explosive... A riveting post-apocalyptic zombie series." (Kyla Stone (Author of Edge of Collapse series)

Books one to three in the best-selling and award-winning series available in one box set for the first time.

Two sisters, one nightmare.

The last thing they wanted to do was spend time with each other. Now, their very survival depends on it.

As they navigate the city to escape to safety, terror lurks for them on every corner. The reanimating virus has taken away everything they loved, but today, they’re going to start fighting back.

Living or dead, everyone is a threat. The rules have changed, and for these two, time is running out.

What will they do to survive? What will they do for each other? Is being family reason enough to stay together?

Now, they’re about to find out!

Let me start by saying that I don’t typically care for audiobooks because it takes me a bit to process things I hear, and audiobooks don’t usually allow for that. This one does! The narrator is amazing!! It’s one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to in years! There are pauses when there should be, and it’s easy to tell when different people are speaking. I absolutely loved this series! The story is really good. I love how Robyn changes throughout the three books. The characters are believable, the action has appropriate breaks, and the bad guys are smart. I’m so glad I found this series! On to book audiobook four!

Loved this series

My kind of Zombie books- action right away… lovable characters, intense nail biting action, fast nasty zombies— will be getting next book in series as soon as my credit rolls around!

Not Your Typical Apocalyptic Tae

I enjoyed the idea that two regular teens could quickly become adept survivors. Love the javelins.

Is this the End of Everything?

Christopher Artinian is one of my favorite authors in the zombie genre and I have enjoyed the books in his "Safe Haven" series immensely. When I found out that he had written a YA zombie book about two sisters, I was excited to give it a try. I have to say that I was not disappointed!

From the very beginning of the book, we learn that Wren is a very resourceful young lady. At the age of 15, she has more common sense in a EOTWAWKI situation than most adults. Her sister, Robin, is another story. Robin is a typical teenager, more concerned with fashion and boys than real life events. I enjoyed the way that Robin progressed from this annoying fluff to someone able to hold her own in a bad situation. I loved the banter between the sisters and it added a lot to the realism of the story.

Mr. Artinian has plenty of action in the book and the ways that our sisters fight off the zombie hordes is great. The ending was a great tie-in to Mr. Artinian's other series and I look forward to seeing how these sisters might fit in to the "Safe Haven" world. The characters are well-developed, the tension is palpable and by the time I finished the third book, I felt like I knew Robin and Wren personally.

The narrator, Kim Bretton, is perfect for this book and really added a lot to my enjoyment of it. Her pacing was perfect and her voices were spot-on. At times,I thought there had to be at least 3 or 4 narrators because her transition between voices is so seamless. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author, but all opinions expressed are my own.

Not bad

I enjoyed the story, but didn't leave me with a feeling of needing to know. After 3 books, I don't feel as though I need to know more of the story or even what's going to happen to the main characters.

Awesome!

Well written and Kim Brittin did a great job with narration. I fully enjoyed listening while at work and when I'm driving. Couldn't wait to hit play.

2 sisters against the world

I love the idea of two sisters against the world though like I’ve seen in other reviews I hate Robin at times. She does grow on you after a bit and calms down but it’s way too often she’s having a hissy fit.

The accent was a bit hard at first only because I’m American but I quickly found it to help be more immersive than jarring.

Mostly the story was interesting, plausible and I liked Wren enough that I stopped hoping Robin would get eaten shortly in.

Dislikes: foreshadowing, I’m not big on it and it makes me feel like I know what’s going to happen to the point that I don’t have as much excitement to keep reading which is already hard with a box set because it’s so long, it’s harder to binge read anyways.

I also don’t like the end of the 3rd book. I want to know what happens but I hate the idea of where it left off. I’m sorry if that hurts anyone’s likelihood to DL this book because it is very good but the ending cliffhanger was not to my taste as realistic as it is
