    Why the Music?

Who had the idea to play music during the reading of an audio book? And what does heavy metal music have to do with Jesuits? I completely wasted my money on this purchase.

The Author gets one star for the Music

I expected to walk away with something, Not this time. I think this was a "High School" paper that the author put to music 20 years after he wrote the paper. This is an empty vessel, what I call a waste of my time. Had I not been trapped on a 7 hour flight I would have been upset after listening to this book. I subjected myself to this book not once but twice. He has a formula and unless those of us that have been ripped off speak out he'll be back with more of this terrible format.

    Save your time

    Muffled recording.
    Thick nearly incomprehensible accent.
Too many musical tracks - which are too loud.
    Auditorily disturbing.
I'm not sure whether or not there was decent information since I could barely understand it.

    Brutal listen

Sappy music that interferes with the listening and subject matter that assumes you're already an expert in the subject. This thing listens like something that was cut out of the middle of a more descriptive and interesting book. A complete waste of my time and money.

    nothing new

bad music blots out some of the reading and wastes minutes of listening time with no dialog at all. What is said is old news or badly researched. don't waste money or credits on this fecal mater.

    Terrible

This recording is terrible. The choice to play music all throughout the reading, with varying levels of volume, is so distracting that it makes it impossible to focus on what's being said.

    Needs Prof. Mixing

Barely enough material for 1 chapter much less a book. Loud music throughout combatting with heavy Brittish accent. Extremely difficult to understand. Get in Book if interested.

    Music, Maestro...NOT

If the author paused to clear his throat, it was a cue to strike up the band, or sometimes, the orchestra. The interesting facts about secret societies, their origins, their place in history and how they influenced, and continue to influence, governments and nations are hard to concentrate on due the constant interruption of music ranging from classical to rock. The author's own accent adds to the difficulties. A listener will get something out of this short read but the production doesn't make it easy.

    Poor Listen

Philip Gardner, from what I've heard, should have been very interesting. Sadly, I could not understand what he was saying due to the music... and such awful music! I'd really like to have my money back on this one.
