I love Melody!

This was my favorite volume out of the 3 so far. The story still keeps its light hearted tone, but it adds some intense scenes and background lore that adds some depth to keep things interesting. Adding more sass to the narrator also adds to the humor whenever Melody is up to her shenanigans. And Courtney Lin’s performance absolutely brings Melody and Luciana to life. The tone still leans more towards “slice of life” than “fantasy adventure”, but I do vibe with the calmer story.

Overall I am a fan of this series and I am curious to see where the story goes from here. I can’t wait for Vol. 4

Good but Meandering

While I really enjoy the characters and the general feel to this story, I think it is a bit rudderless. The story is, allegedly, following the plot of another story (but going off the rails because of our dear maid), However, since we don't know that story, it's of little consequence. What matters is what is driving the plot, and what is driving the plot is... What? A superpowered maid trying to do her best? That's about all I can think of for goals. So really, this ends up being a very slow slice of life series, which is just code for "no plot." On the plus side, the narrator is excellent.
