Another beautiful Hunter book

Her books just get better and better and I love this particular heiress for her strength, and humility and kindness. Transportive, as always!

Quite enjoyable. It shows that a women does not have to play the victim.

Excellent listen

I listened to all three books in this series and think this is my favorite. While the characters were well developed in all three, they seemed to really come to life in this, the second book. I love a good romance where the characters are just as good as the story...where the characters actually enhance the story. This definitely will be a repeat listen for me.

For some reason I really felt immersed in this story. I felt for them both when they went through their difficulties.

The Descriptive words

The authors descriptions of colors, smells, scenery, FEELINGS, made the reader feel apart of the story!! WONDERFUL WORK!!

Loved this book

I love books that include businesswomen I especially modistes and fabric accessories sellers. I seek them out in this genre as it was so hard for women to marry back then and give up their businesses control to husband. I do wish narrator had not narrated the main character as such an old sounding woman she is a beautiful businesswoman who sounded very old and not as authoritative and smart as she is. Disappointed in that and was disappointed she married him as I did not trust him. Otherwise I loved the narrator.

As I've listened 3 times to Heiress for Hire and
Heiress in Red Silk. ... You realize I've enjoyed everything about these characters and the inventions and women running their own businesses...
there are a few unanswered points of interest not revealed .
Is there a 3rd book following this year ?

Female voice lacking

The story was fine and the characters were good. However, the voice for the heroine was hokey and made her sound stupid which did not match her great qualities and made for no chemistry with the hero. Difficult to get through.
The voice for the other character were good.
