Monsters didn't just exist in nightmares. They were real; they lived among us. As the sole witness to a brutal murder, Ryann Sinclair knew that better than anyone.

He'd been burned once, and Cash Donovan swore it was the last time. That all changed when Ryann stumbled back into his life.

She was fiercely protective of her heart, and he was hell-bent on protecting her. Never one to back down from a challenge, Cash was determined to break her. Just so he could be the one to put her back together.

I thought this book started out good. Ryann was a kick butt kind of girl at first but somewhere along the line she became this week being. Now I know it would be scary after all she'd been through but self-defense classes teach to put that fear away temporarily to save yourself. When Ryann needed that knowledge she didn't use it. As far as Cash goes, he was alright but I found him a little dumb as a detective. I won't get into why because it might spoil the story. I also found him way over bossy and can't believe Ryann let him get away with it.
Over all it was a decent book. The narrators really made it better.

What happen to her self-defense training?

From the love to the protection to the violence. It keeps you wanting more. I was sad when the book ended. Hole for a second one.

While terms of endearment are nice, this guy uses "Babygirl" prematurely and excessively. Even though the main male character is supposed to be a good guy, it is often crine worthy.

Never call a woman BabyGirl

This was a fabulous grasping story of a girl who has been tormented her entire life by men in her life, she fights for herself, and finds a man to adore her and all of her scars. Through trials, tragedy, and therapy, she finds the strength to face her fears, and fight through her scars to regain freedom. Well written and beautifully narrated!!! Fantastic book!

Beautiful story of finding strength after tragedy

This is the first book from this author I have had the pleasure to indulge myself in and it won't be my last. Healing the Broken is an intensely emotional, suspenseful and beautifully captivating. I enjoyed going on this journey with Cash and Ryann. Great story. Narration was perfection!
